How can you know where to go if you can't zoom in and out or set a way point on the worthless map
Game is not progressing in development very much. It's slow and meaningless. I hope they stick to it because right now it's just potential on paper, not in execution. Game has terrible performance also.
I've watched a couple big YouTuber's try this game out and was hooked. So hooked that when I got it, I can't stop playing it. If you like the Sims but don't want to play the Sims, this game is for you. It's similiar to that with a hint of Schedule 1 in the process. The game runs smooth for me and there has been no issues whatsoever. Definitely worth a try.
I'd recommend hands down this game has so much potential no lie it has some bugs but as long as the Devs stay active this game should be something unique. Its very engaging especially keeping your businesses up and running I hope the Devs don't give up on this like some others. Bugs - TV has issues staying on after saves sometimes/ doesn't stay on when leaving have to reset after returning to owned building but a cool feature - Car quick reset does not work correctly when trying to set the car from phone - Objects will self place if character is looking at the floor - Car gets stuck very easily on high curbs -Once someone moves in the person is buggy to roam around the the owned building some buildings they wont move at all / buggy sitting on the couch if one is present but the person does sit eventually Likes/Suggestions -Love the grind -Add more business to own -Add Guns - not saying we need rivals killing the experience that you have to deal with them so often - maybe hunting would be a nice add on as well -Custom wall art -More interior furniture and appliances -Drug running is cool although more money for the sells would be nice -LOVE THE CARS!!!!! -PHONE SYSTEM IS GREAT!!!!!! Came back to edit with the game still open Overall I 100% enjoy the game even the way it is but some UPDATES WOULD BE NICE WE NEED GAMES LIKE THIS!
Denizen falls into a niche that a lot of life sim gamers will have wanted at one time or another, specifically a first/third person adventure where you control one character in a first/third person style, balancing needs with what you need to do to live you digital life. The only problem with this is that the concept trends towards scope creep and denizen is unfortunately a victim of this, with the road map being loaded with "features" that should just be as an well minor updates rather than proper gameplay elements. I bought and played this a little over a year ago with the expectation of the game being updated as there where clearly placeholders in places and there was little form or function outside of basic needs, a borked social system and a few minigames, coming back to it a year later, I can barely tell any difference from memory, the things that felt unpolished back then, are the same now. The real question is "should I buy this game", the only yes that I could give would be if I was 100% sure the developers won't let this wither on the vine and will make something great out of this buy I can't honestly say that at this point,
Denizen has a lot of interesting ideas and I genuinely like the concept behind the game. Unfortunately, the execution just isn't there yet. The game often feels unfinished and unoptimized. Performance aside, a lot of things feel a bit cheap and generic. Some of the character models and assets look like the same ones you've seen in countless other simulator games, which makes it hard for the game to develop its own identity. There are moments where you can see the potential, and I do think the developers have a good idea on paper. However, right now it feels more like an early prototype than a fully developed game. I might revisit Denizen in the future, because I can see what it's trying to achieve. But at the moment, I can't recommend it.
Denizen is a very fun Life SIm with a pretty good amount of content. I played it on and off for the last few years and just got the 100%, so it is quite grindy, but not too bad. Overall it is very chill, has some entertaining jobs and activities, and is a great "shut your brain off" kind of game to just vibe on. Worth it on sale for sure. Hopefully the developers continue to work it.
Great potential, but ihope there comes more updates soon..
I know this isn’t a “cozy” game but it’s seriously helping me during a gaming burnout from cozy games. It’s such a nice relaxing way to spend my time. I start out by doing a shift at the pizza spot, maybe running a mission for Austin, hit the grocery store if I need ingredients, go home and unload groceries and cook. Shower, eat, sleep. I invite npc friends over sometimes or go out to the club or bar for a drink and dancing. It’s such a good life sim. I already maxed level in the pizza place so I just work whenever I want. I’m about to dive into the other jobs and fishing soon. It’s like what I picture freedom would be like in real life if the economy wasn’t in the toilet. I’ll do the more risky business later as well. I’m excited to build up to a nice house/apartment. The lack of story is actually something I enjoy as I don’t feel pressured or rushed to get anything done. I control my own story.
