About
Friday Kwon is a young witch who makes potions for her family shop. But when her mother breaks her arms in an accident, Friday returns to her post as a delivery girl for the first time since her own accident left her paralyzed from the waist down.
The Rainforest Witch Company doesn't take kindly to this and they'll do everything in their power to make sure that Friday doesn't deliver any potions. Take control of Friday and navigate the unfriendly skies as she tries to get potions to her customers and keep the family business afloat.
Prefer a more chill game? Take your time on the levels and don't sweat the small mistakes like a lost or late package. But if you like more of a challenge try your hand at being the best delivery girl whose only flaw is being a perfectionist. Or maybe you prefer something in between? The choice is yours.

Fun game with a simple enough game loop. I'm not sure if I'd call it a puzzle game or a precision game, though there's certainly a bit of both going on. It's definitely not a chill game with those Rainforest Delivery harridans who keep charging into Friday while she's minding her own business. But it is the kind of game I'd be comfortable handing off a controller to a child for an hour or so. Supervised, in case the frustration gets to them. Hitboxes for Friday and the other witches can be brutal especially with the loosy-goosy inertia Friday has. If you're familiar with counter-strafing in FPS, that's a viable strategy for tightening up your movement. There is also some parcel inertia and I'm convinced that it's necessary to make some levels possible to full-clear past the damnable porch pirate witches. Controls are a bit weird. By default it uses the shoulder and trigger buttons to select package colors with the A button to throw the packages. I quickly changed this to use the face buttons as color selectors and the right trigger to throw which makes switching colors while navigating much more intuitive. The setting called "sensitivity" controls the joystick dead zone as opposed to being velocity sensitive (so no RP walking), the movement is purely digital--the game detects the input in the up-down and left-right directions as either ON or OFF and aside from a brief acceleration/deceleration period, you cannot move in any direction other than the cardinal & ordinal directions. This game could probably run full speed on a potato. I played the first 70-ish levels on steamdeck and playing it barely sips power. I'd say it's very compatible with the steamdeck. [i]Edit:[/i] Dev made an update and improved several UI rough spots with controller input. I think it is now entirely accessible with only the controller at this point, thanks dev! This is as far as you need to read for my review of the game, the rest of this is some unsolicited nitpicks and I apologize in advance to anyone who decides to read it. --- As far as bugs, I only really found [strike]two[/strike]one, and maybe [strike]three[/strike]two minor issues. [strike]First, the unconfigured dead zone ("sensitivity") for the joystick appears to default to -1, and this can make the joystick unresponsive until you adjust the setting to something a bit more reasonable like 0.30--not particularly easy with just the controller.[/strike](edit: dev enabled dpad in menus in a recent patch, which should bypass this problem.) The second is a visual glitch; for some levels, the post-level score screen leaves a 1 pixel bar at the bottom using the level's background instead of the score window background (eg level 49). For minor issues, the settings window and options windows need a higher contrast indicator of the active item, be it a shape around the object, giving it a high contrast border/outline, or changing the brightness of the control, or what have you. Making the active control bigger is not enough when not using a mouse. The main menu and level select menu handles this well enough but the two settings windows do not. Second, if the start button is pressed during gameplay, then pressed again without activating a control with the selection/action button, it should resume the game. I found that I can slow down the simulation speed by turning on the frame limiter. This made the game a lot more playable by my youngest niece.
So for full disclosure, I'm a personal friend of this game's lead dev and also playtested a number of earlier builds for her. Frankly, it's impossible for me to not be a little biased, but regardless of that, I think Delivered By Friday is such a lovely work. It's good old fashioned arcadey fun, with simple mechanics that serve increasingly difficult levels as the game progresses, strung together by a very heartfelt story that made me tear up multiple times. It'll kick your ass for sure, but it's a ton of fun, and so satisfying to figure out the solutions to each level. If you're reading this, I'm so proud of you Ema, and so happy I was able to see this game go from early dev to final release. I'm so glad I was able to play even a small role in bringing this game to fruition. Here's to the launch of Delivered By Friday!
Fun cute game! it can get pretty challenging at times especially when trying to complete all levels with all the emblems. The individual levels are short and there are a lot of them. Restarting a level has a hotkey, so chaining attempts for 100% completion of levels is quick and snappy. Getting all the marks on the more difficult stages is very satisfying.
I AM GOING TO FIND A WAY TO SPEEDRUN THIS GAME AND YOU ALL SHALL WEEP. I DARE YOU TO DEFEAT ME. I AM THE BEST FRIDAY. LEVEL 37 HAS ME IN A CHOKEHOLD. IF I GET HIT BY ONE MORE BROOM IN THE FACE I MAY SHED TWO TEARS. BUT I WILL DOMINATE THIS GAME. I DARE YOU ALL TO TRY AND DEFEAT ME. 1V1 ME IN PACKAGE DELIVERY. fun game 10/10
Really nice graphic and gameplay.
A simple but fun and challenging side scroller with an old-school sort of vibe and nice story. And I can't believe even witches have to deal with porch pirates >:|
Fun little game with plenty of difficulty and some nice art and music to accompany. It has also given me a newfound hatred for porch pirates.
An enjoyable little arcade game with a charming story. The base game itself may be a little on the easy side but getting 100% and the badges is surprisingly challenging.
A simple yet fun game, with some neat characters & definitely worth checking out. That said be warned, you're gonna have to be quick to move when those Witches from The Rainforest Witch Company come after you, making your deliveries all the harder to complete.
Never panicked so hard delivering packages. 10/10 would panic again Down with big witch \o/
