About
Hello Miner, and congratulations on joining DEEP ROCK GALACTIC! It’s the beginning of a bright new career for you.
We’re preparing to send you and your colleagues down into the rich mines of Hoxxes IV. If you’re a hard worker, a good shot and a reliable team player, you should have respectable odds of survival.
Award-winning co-op gameplay puts 1-4 players together to explore labyrinthian procedurally-generated cave systems, extract valuable minerals, and fight for their lives against alien hordes.
Play as four unique classes:
SCOUT: The nimble wayfinder. Light the way with your flare gun, zip around with your grappling hook, and be the first to fall down a really deep hole.
GUNNER: The heavy weapons guy. Great at turning alive things into dead things, and keeping teammates safe behind his impenetrable bubble shield.
ENGINEER: The defensive support specialist. Sentry guns, land mines and 40mm grenades help you keep a secure perimeter.
DRILLER: The living bulldozer. Carve through terrain and shape the work site with your handheld drills, and solve problems using your flamethrower and C4 charges.
Each class brings their own strengths to the team. Use your toolkits in tandem and work together to bring your whole crew home safe.
Explore an endless labyrinth of procedurally-generated caves – no two missions are alike.
You’ll need to rely on your wits and your traversal tools to navigate through narrow, snaking passages and vast caverns alike. Dig into 11 distinct biomes, each with their own unique cave formations and colorful (sometimes deadly) flora and fauna.
And with 100% destructible environments, you can shape the terrain as you see fit. Dig tunnels, collapse stalagmites and close off choke points to make your job easier.
Your work in the mines will pit you against the many creatures of Hoxxes IV who don’t take kindly to your presence.
Keep your finger on the trigger, and learn to defend yourself against hordes of over 50 different enemy types, all of which are keen to bite, slash and acid-spit you to death. Some fly, some crawl, some snatch you from above and below. You’ll need to keep your wits about you, and make sure your teammates have your back.
Unlock thousands of cosmetics, weapons and player upgrades, making for hundreds of hours of gameplay as you work your way up the ranks and become a star employee.
Deep Rock Galactic features six full seasons of additional content on top of the base game, and it’s all free. No time-limited battlepasses, no FOMO shop rotations, no gated content. The only extras you can buy are a couple DLC armors.
The Deep Rock Galactic Corporation isn’t known for its benefits package. But at least there’s a bar on the Space Rig.
Enough talk – it’s time to get to work, and join millions of other motivated employees!

Looks like a fun game, my friends play it a lot. There's zero settings where I can see what's happening. I've tried multiple times to play it, but I can't see a damn thing in the game. At all. There's not enough contrast between the enemies and the environment. Granted, I have crappy eyes and I understand it's supposed to be underground, but please give us some sort of settings for contrast, light, something that can help some people with poorer vision play this.
I have not had this much fun with an FPS since Killzone. Gameplay loop revolves around doing missions with varied objectives where you fight bugs/robots and gather a wide array of minerals for ammo/health replenishment and reward currency. The missions are always procedurally generated so each one feels different and fresh. Positives: - Very replayable missions with big enemy, layout and objective variety - Good gunplay and mostly well balanced - Fantastic weapon customisation systems, especially with overclocks that can completely change how a weapon functions - Strong class identity, great for us RPG lovers - Space dwarf vibes are done really well, with each biome and enemy having its flavour - Excellent sound design - Many visual customisation options and rewards to earn - Very generous pricing and no microtransactions (only several dev supporter packs), entirety of post-launch content was added for free - Plethora of difficulty options and modifiers that allow you to have fun regardless of your skill/experience with FPS games - Although it's namely a co-op game it can still be enjoyed solo with a helper bot that assists you in various ways Negatives: - There is jank (especially with player collision and some achievements) but nothing too annoying - Bad reconnect feature that does not work most of the time - Perk system is poorly designed; many are useless, Dash should have been a baseline ability and Iron Will is so much better than everything else - Some bosses are pretty meh/annoying - Cosmetics should be unlocked for every class at the same time, no reason for having to unlock the same reward four times Overall strong recommend. It's also often on sale and for that price a real steal.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Initially I was only playing this title for my kids and their friends, however, in short time, all the parents were playing together after the kids were asleep. It's just a lot of fun. I realize that's not the most insightful review, I'll leave that to the more hardcore critics, I just know this game has brought a lot of joy to me, my friends, and my family. Thanks to the developers. Cheers.

If you're wondering why so many more people are in regular DRG instead of Rogue Core, it's because this is the fun one.
ROCK AND STONE! ⛏️🍺
I feel inclined to leave a review and it saddens me to leave this as a negative after so many hours dedicated to DRG. DRG is an amazing game especially with friends. This game does pretty much everything right. - It's extremely fun and even more enjoyable with friends. - I never felt myself getting bored especially after getting all the overclocks and despite the biomes being repetitive. - Being able to muck around in the lobby whilst waiting for people to join is a cornerstone of the DRG experience and the game wouldn't be the same without it. However, I'm leaving a negative review because the developers who I once held in high esteem have turned out to be very disappointing, and this started with Season 6. From memory as I have not played very often recently, Season 6 was a very long wait, as far as I know this was because Rogue Core development was the main focus. This was annoying but I understood nonetheless. Season 6 came and it was just... well there's not much to say about it. We waited all that time for one new mission type and a new biome that introduced two boring and mildy irritating enemies, particularly the scrabs, which are total ammo dumps and don't seem to leave you alone for the entirery of the mission no matter how many you kill; and worse, zero new weapon overclocks. What cemented my distaste was after all this time, after all this waiting, Rogue Core like its predecessor Survivor, turned out to be a complete flop that died almost immediately. All the time spent neglecting DRG was for nothing, and whilst I understand and accept that DRG is a complete game and we are not entitled to expect new content; it still left a sour taste in my mouth. As far as 'content' goes, the only things ever added now are new cosmetic packs and lets be honest, with the exception of a select few like Rival Tech, most of them are not that great anyway, at least in my opinion. On top of this, the only news I see concerning DRG outside of seasonal cosmetics (that aren't that great either), is yet another announcement for overpriced merch, the hilariously overpriced beer mugs that were released in the past come to mind immediately. Overall I think that GSG has lost the plot with DRG, and I've begun to question whether this was a one hit wonder, and I am very disappointed that perhaps some new DRG content was sacrificed for years(?) for two games that amounted to nothing. Despite this please don't let this discourage you from buying the game, it truly is amazing, I just cannot fathom how GSG has dropped the ball so easily.
This game is very good and fun with a lot of possible depth but it can get boring for some other players or feel like work when you go into long sessions of the game. Once you reach the peak of your game and get everything you've grinded for, there's not really much reason or incentive to keep playing the game which can be kinda sad especially if you dont have friends who like this same game, but playing this game with a cooperative and responsive team is the best. The gameplay loop and gameplay is excellent but sometimes it feels like it can be more optimized or modding support could be a bit better, a lot of modders have quit which made a lot of good mods not work but overall a strong 8 to 9 out of 10.
