Reviews
At first, I was not impressed by this game. But after doubling down and playing it again I have come to accept it for what it is (and does well at!), an FPS shooter with horror elements - monsters from some kind of lovecraft story and plenty of job scares to boot. The game involves crafting, resource gathering, and the ability to adapt. Some weapons are more effective against beings and each gun comes with a monster hidden under the barrel that you can command to attack or gather another monster to sit on your shoulder - such as a being that provides a force shield, another one can fire sticky glue, another makes you invisible, etc, etc. Graphics are superb and music/sound effects fit the mood perfectly. I highly recommend this game!
Game is good, you can decide if it's worth a buy based on the other reviews, but I am writing this one purely to vent about Cynthia. There was literally 0 reason whatsoever to give this game a snarky AI side character who talks like the most annoying woman I have ever met. Completely annihilates the game's tone, particularly in the intro. The intro used to be so tense because you woke up to total silence and had to creep around the halls with almost no information on what to do besides hint popups. Now it's completely ruined by her yapping in your ear with enemy callouts and torturously unfunny quips. I'd genuinely rewrite this review to positive if they added the option for me to rip her AI cube out of my ship computer and chuck it into space. I mean that genuinely, on the off chance the devs are reading this.
Not the worst game I have purchased. One of the wort extraction games I have ever purchased. Pros: -Shotgun Cons: -Boring quests -limited and boring weapons -limited and generic upgrades -even on easy some enemies will 1 hit you (not great for solo play) -dead servers -timed missions that just do not feel entirely fair -fairly linear exploration -lack of resources/loot -game was abandoned shortly after launch All in all I would say pass on this one unless you have a friend or two to play with. And you need a tutorial into extraction games or it is on deep discount. Edit: Oh and you are forced to platform... ... Ewwwwwwy
[strike]What an immence, unfinished piece of ♥♥♥♥...[/strike] After playing it for some time I just HAVE to rewrite my review for that game. Don't get me wrong, I still can't reccomend it in it's current state... It's poorly balanced, there's plenty of bugs and lags, including even soft-locking ones (we had to reset company twice already, because on some story level we get an objective which spawns behind a locked door...). But... Actually - THIS IS A F*CKING MASTERPIECE! In some aspects... And it really pains me to see HOW SUCH AN AWESOME GAME have so miserably failed... What's good about it? Actually - EVERYTHING except the balance and bugs... And maybe story could be a liiiiiiiitle bit more extensive. AWESOME ARTS: I mean really, The level of "Dead Space" sh*t. Or even better! Beatiful! Horrifying, and beatiful!
Just look at the f*cking chair! Or how mobs are spawning out of the piles of goo!
ATMOSPHERE: Jeesus, it a REAL Space Horror! Scares you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, especially in the beginning, and in solo. STYLE: Daaaaam those guns, and enemies, and tools, and armors... Really, work of a dedicated and talented artists, spiced with the work of coders, who where really into making it look Special. Unique. Small details, like fog in right places, lights on the maps... Everything is so holistic, horrifying and awesome, I just gaze into stuff for minutes... Overall - this game is a huge well of sadness for me, because with SO MUCH SUPERCOOL things onboard - it could have (and should have, imho) became THE NEXT HUGE THING. But, unfortunately, due to lack of variety in things, which get really "repititive" after some time, due to game-breaking lags, and really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ balance - it's almost unplayable... I sincerely wish Devs all the luck, and keep on creating great Projects like that one, but also - to learn from their mistakes... As I said - I have a strong feeling, that if not for these "hiccups", which COULD have been avoided (or fixed) - this game WOULD be the Superhit.
Another publisher trying the insta-greed route vs giving devs time to flesh out a solid shooter. Game had all the bits, really too bad it got KIA.
Great style, ugly-cute mix of GTFO and Soma with adorable pet-guns. Shame no one is playing it in coop. I was trying to find someone for a week, found a single brazilian guy, it was really laggy to play with 300 ping. If there were neutral reviews I'd would go for it, but we have what we have.
this is a fine example of greedy corporate executives who only care about money and know nothing about games The Devs had something hear but were not aloud to finish it so this is all you get
Abandoned.
IF you wanna play a game that you just screw around and what not, get it on sale since honestly at this point its just a way for the Devs to line their pockets as they have never really added any serious depth or content that makes this game a mindless time sink. Its a solid raiding game but its never going to be better than what it is without help.
They took away rocket jumping..... It was so so fun! The heavy swing from the baton could do it too, it was a blast to knock people all the way up stairs while they were just doing some inventory. Took you long enough to add Set Bonus's for the suit's. I really wish you added a reset button to the mission select, so instead of mind numbingly playing missions to HOPEFULLY get the mission I want, I can JUST get that mission, I've spent hours trying to get the MK1 laser, never seen it before.
