Reviews
Mainly played the early access which was really fun to grind and discover. The full release nerfed or drastically changed mechanics and..well I do not have any fun playing that now. If you give it a try do not play more than 2h ;)
This is one of the times I wish Steam had a mixed option for the review. I'm a big fan of DRG and I liked Rogue Core so I thought I would finally give this one a chance too. I had initially avoided it because it just looked like a slightly worse Vampire Survivors. It turns out I was wrong... but also a little right. This game IS more enjoyable than I thought it would be. The inclusion of objectives during a run does make it feel different enough from Vampire Survivors that this game can stand on it's own. That being said it gets boring a lot faster than Vampire Survivors does and requires more attentiveness to play. Ultimately this game is more fun than I expected it to be, but I still feels like a worse version of both DRG and Vampire Survivors. Ultimately I well leave a thumbs up for this review, but I recommend waiting for a sale at the very least.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Some class are clearly OP like the soldier, engineer can be OP late game but early game is a nightmare. Level 1 (1 skull) is easy, level 2 (2 skull) is a huge step up in difficulty. Please let me just enjoy the game by killing bosses. Imho the game trigger frustration too early in the process. Nevertheless, can not say its a bad game, would rate 6/10.
I think that there's such a good base here that they just never expand on. I've gotten the feeling for a while in playing the regular Deep Rock Galactic that things are kinda at maintenance mode with that game, but with Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor I get the feeling that low effort is just what we'll be seeing from this studio going forward. Which is such a shame given what an incredible hit the original game was. So what's my gripes with DRG:Survivor? It's that as so many others have explained, it's a grindfest. And not the kind where you feel satisfied and happy after chipping away at it but rather like you're not making a single dent in things even after nearly a hundred hours in. It has such a fun premise, DRG meets top down horde gameplay with a ton of different build options being promised. But a very big problem I've found with these builds is that they just don't interact with one another, which is a big selling point in almost any other Survivor'esque game. So no, you can't find these incredible ultimate combos like you can in games like Vampire Survivor. On the technical side it seems to run mostly well, but I'm having audio issues where closing the game causes a sudden burst of audio that's almost destroyed my speakers in the past so I have to preemptively turn down the volume like crazy before exiting. And no, muting the audio does not work, it overrides any in-game settings for this. I think I'm a little disappointed in seeing that there's already DLC out. I know they released 1.0 and such but it was in such an unpolished state that releasing content DLC so soon after just feels like a bit of a slap in the face. But this is a minor gripe and ultimately comes down to be less about the existence of the DLC and more about the neglect of the base game. I love these types of games normally but DRG:Survivor just wasn't it for me.
Two words: mini exploders
Gioco divertentissimo. Grande varietá di classi ed armi e in generale ci passi 2 ore senza neanche rendertene conto, Consigliatissimo!
