Death RPG belongs under the dictionary definition of game-shaped object. It took me this long to review it because I don't even know where to begin. The game is a repeating cycle of a single T-RPG battle party of three versus the same set of enemies, the only difference being the fields on which you play. There is no customization, there is no equipment, there is no loot or EXP. Just fights that give no reward. No story. Zip, zilch, nada. The game is a mind-boggling 3.5gigs in size for crappy textures and bloated models. It's also restricted, so the achievements and the game don't count for profile stats. Start each field to unlock the achievement, then exit out to 100% in about a minute. Consider this an at-risk asset flip game, and an unfinished one - despite promises in the community hub this game lacks all of them. And it's not alone - check the developer catalogue.
Nice little puzzle-rpg game with an interestin mechanic. Sadly there is no story, just few levels. Graphics and sound are ok but nothing more. It is difficult to explain the gameplay so please watch the video below. For the low price it is ok but do not expect something awesome. Update: Game has now more levels and easy achievements. I thought this game looked cool. Especially since I love turn based games but after playing for about 20 mins here's what I learned. - Everyone has the same attack animation - Everyone has the same death animation - Game has no premises behind it - No tutorial - Zero explanation of the game at all - Levels are the same just with different background - you can complete any stage in two waves After reading the community hub they said more will be added in 2-3 weeks. Meaning that this is a dev that puts out unfinished games
Actual, figurative and literal trash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zimXFGKN3E
Game bought in a bundle or at 75%+ discount, or received at a public giveaway

Sadly, no challenge, no fun...
... just up to 50 minutes of boredom without any replay value. Run to a next, predetermined fight; move around your 3 fighters, so each of them would damage most enemies with his weird attack pattern; win an easy fight; then rinse and repeat. Do this 3-4 times per map, then change the map (really means: change the background), do again. It's not an RPG, just a tactical combat game, without any story, character progression and tutorial/manual (but, well, even if I've missed some mechanics, it still was so easy to beat, that it wouldn't matter). Options allow to set [strike]fullscreen[/strike] resolution, but there is [strike]no windowed mode and[/strike] no sound volume controls. All maps are accessible and just entering all of them gives all the achievements, so they can be grabbed really fast by just quitting and reentering the game. And the fights are dull and easy. I have entered (and won) a giveaway for this game on Steamgifts, because I'm a turn-based and RPG fan, and it's a new game with 3 updates rolled out by the Devs in a month, and with just 3 reviews. I do find some hidden gems doing so, but it's certainly not the case with Death RPG. It's not only a bad game, but also I don't see any prospects of it becoming better, no matter how many more updates the Devs do. Unfortunately, the basic combat mechanics are so heavily lacking, that without changing and hugely expanding them, and without implementing a serious AI, it's just not going to work. New levels, bosses and tweaks are not likely to be of any help. Having 3 characters with different AOE patterns, that you move around before they launch their attacks, is an interesting premise (though if the AOE patterns are so weird, it begs for some explanation), but falls flat, when the enemies do not use the same mechanics and always attack a single character, each target seemingly chosen at random. Only with a strong AI and with enemy using AOE patterns, that you need to take into account before launching your own attacks, this combat system could make any sense. I do appreciate Devs' attempts to improve this game, so I'm really sad writing this pretty devastating review, but I honestly believe, that it's practically impossible for a small Indie team to pull this game through. Failed attempts happen to all of us, and this is a totally failed attempt. Cut down the losses; give up on this game; stop selling it, to avoid getting even more disappointed customers; maybe even give free keys to a better game of yours to those, that have purchased Death RPG. I wish a better luck with your next game both to the Devs, and to those that have purchased this one. ===== Edit: I've made a wrong assumption, seeing no fullscreen/windowed switch, that different resolutions still keep the game in fullscreen - corrected after Dev's answer.
simple bare basics grid game. no story. no decent gameplay. dont get. its only use is a quick achievement getter. do not buy!!!!!!! not worth 1$ it should be free.
1 hour to complete whole game. No difficulties to pass at all, nothing interesting. Don't know, what for it was released. The only ok thing is music - classic is not bad, but too loud.
