Reviews
This is not about the gameplay, art design, soundtrack, or story. It's all about the feeling. This game has a warm, hugging feeling that completely captures you. Yes, the gameplay can be a bit janky and the game can be buggy at times, but for the most part, the story of the game is worth experiencing. When discussing the gems of gaming, this game will come up.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Howdy, mate. Let's take a look at Deadly Premonition and why I rated it W for What the Hell Happened. Summary: Visuals - rudimentary Animations - silly Soundtrack - memorable Twin Peaks semblance - unmistakable Random crashes - every few minutes unless you implement tweaks and play in Win XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode QTEs - some of the worst in gaming history First of all, it could've been a great game, and it kind of is for the first 2/3 of its runtime, when you're investigating a murder mystery in rural Washington, mingling with the numerous townies, dining with your police buddies, going on wacky errands, collecting cars, cards, weapons, managing hunger, tiredness and attractiveness of your protagonist, as well as entertaining him with peaceful side activities, like fishing or dispatching individuals who "don't want to die", which you're going to hear from them some seven hundred times over the course of your adventures. However, in the last 1/3 it turns into
Supernatural
, the villain proves to literally be
a Super Saiyan
, and you end up being chased by
an eldritch Dark Souls boss
. My disappointment was immeasurable, and my day was ruined. Good twists can make a forgettable story stand out, bad twists can ruin an otherwise solid one. This game has both, and sadly, bad twists are much more abundant. Did anything among the preceding cutscenes and interactions make you suspect that
the meek gay police deputy is secretly a cross-dressing maniac participating in an underground drugs and sex ring?
Well, this is a twist you have to live with now. Weren't there clues that
the sheriff is a sex pest who thinks himself a Chosen One
? No? Too bad, now deal with it. Second of all, you're playing as an insane person, which is quite endearing. What's not endearing, is that there is little to no autosave feature - in the game that actively strives to implode and is held together by prayer - nor are some of its important mechanics intuitive. For one, every shop and townie operates on a schedule, but then their availability also depends on
the weather
. If you need to skip time, you can sleep in increments of 3, 6, 9 and 12 hours, but for more precise timing you have to
smoke
, which you're also supposed to discover by yourself. Then, there is a teleport system, but you won't know about it unless you finish a specific side quest. And in order to unlock places to warp to, you need to
peek into people's windows
. That all could be fun to figure out slowly if, again, you weren't under constant threat of implosion and loss of everything you achieved in the last fifteen minutes or so. Thankfully, there are manual save points, and they're not too scarce. In prime sadistic fashion, the game won't let you play all the way through in compatibility mode, which vastly improves its stability. No, you cannot really aim up or down this way, and that is necessary in the finale, in the very last moment of a long battle sequence. So you have to turn compatibility off and suffer through cascades of godawful QTEs while not knowing if you'll be able to finish the whole sequence without crashing. There is charm, there is wholesomeness, there is genuine loveliness to Deadly Premonition, yet I cannot in good conscience recommend you to subject yourself to this mess. Proportions of fun/pain in the rear: 1.2/3 Still, remember to always make your own conclusions. > More reviews by NIT

from what i understand this is a horrible port knowing that I played through this entire game on a PS3 emulator which runs worse but is more stable. I recommend the game if you want to play it on PC you need to install some community fixes.
This game is a survival survival horror game, you have a food meter to manage as well. I had a bug of the map not closing one time, and being unable to pick up a lollipop, but apart from that it starts up and runs without any issue. It's quite difficult to aim the gun, it almost drags the cross-hair to their stomach so you have to wrangle it into a headshot, I prefer the melee weapons. The story seems very interesting but the game-play itself is a bit too hacker slash-y for me (quite a few enemies in a small area that re-spawn quickly), so will probably drop it, but that's me more than the game.
