Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Dead Space is a timeless cosmic horror game. The Necromorphs are quite literally the scariest take on zombies i've ever seen, growing fleshy tendrils from their backs and needing to have every appendage removed just to stop their pursuit. Terrifying stuff. The ship atmosphere is like if you transported the Nostromo ship from Alien, the 1979 film, into a video game. Although, gooer and fleshier. Actually, it's a much more freaky environment in this game, which says a lot. The overwhelming emptiness of the vacuums surrounding/within pockets of the Ishimura are palpably eerie and there's a presence of something otherworldly, a looming dread, felt in each industrialised corridor, hum from the ships belly, and the rustic, vacant rooms where personal belongings remain strewn. The sound design is utterly immense, probably the best feature of the game. Isaacs loud boots stomping, the thunderous jump scares, and effectively spine-chilling instrumentals in the OST all assisting to make the world feel alive or, in a way, emptier. God, there's nothing more creepy than being alone in a place that betrays the very concept of "loneliness" and the ambience can both convince you you're safe, secure, or completely swarmed by guttural abomindations from every direction. No inbetween. Only problem is Isaac's unreactive face, whenever we glimpse it, and the way he seems not to care at all for Nicole due to his lack of voiceover or tangible worry. Only time the silent protagonist trope doesn't work is here, sadly, and it's because bro's wife is hurt or worse (no spoilers here), he's got a few twists that should disturb him, anger him even, and he's staring stone cold as if he's lost in a daydream. Dead Space 2 and the Remake fixed that by giving him personality, thankfully. The game ran well enough, not without the occasional stutter, crash or overly sensitive, unoptimised mouse of course. But it still did the job as a port.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Amazing 10/10 game if you're immune to jumpscares
Eu estava gostando do jogo, coloquei no facil para tentar zerar por já era a segunda vez que perdi o save, agora pela terceira vez perdi meu save antes de zerar, então...só não comprem se não pretentem zerar de uma só vez. I was enjoying the game, I switched to Easy mode to try and beat it since I’d already lost my save twice before. Now I’ve lost my save a third time before finishing it, so... just don't buy it unless you plan to beat it in one sitting.
no freaking way.
Such a memorable experience. The horror is effective.
Kinda hard to come back to this game after playing Dead Space 2. Feels very primitive in comparison, the clunky controls from the bad porting doesn't help either. Despite that, it's still a pretty solid game that I recommend everybody play, atmosphere is on point and the gameplay is really fun, albeit a bit on the slower side.
The game is very much a product of its time - the strongest emotion you will feel while playing it, is "yep, definitely a 2008 game". Its horror, extreme in its attempts to appeal to the player, almost never lands - the difference between horror and comedy is, indeed, timing. Timing of horror needs to be in dissonance with your expectations, to catch you off-guard - and here, surprises happen EXACTLY when you expect them. Some of the scripted sequences are downright goofy. The gameplay is quite good (but on a modern PC you probably need a widescreen fixer). "Diegetic" HUD sucks - text is often completely unreadable, and tutorial pop-ups with voiced lines like "Store your items in a Safe" and "Press RMB to aim", shatter the burgeoning immersion. I would recommend enjoying it the way you would enjoy a bad movie - the game wants to be a movie so much, its attempts at cinematic structure end up rather cartoonish.
还是原版更吓人一点
