Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 16.71/day in the week to Aug 24 → 27.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This is a game that is only worth buying when it is heavily discounted. I had decent fun with the combat and loved the very cheesy lines. That said it quickly becomes very easy to kill the regular zombies and even the bosses become rather easy. The main story ending was very abrupt and weird, i really disliked that. It's a fine game if you wanna squeeze in a few hours of shooting or slashing through zombie gore.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Dead Island 2: A Fun, Flawed Gore-Fest (Best Bought on Sale) I cannot, under any circumstances, recommend buying this game at full price. However, if you grab it on a deep sale—like I did for a sweet €5—it’s a decent ride. While the game is so quite glitchy, it is actually very packed with content/nothing wow . If you are a completionist who loves hunting down every single side-quest and unlocking all the achievements, there is plenty of "HELL-A" to explore. That being said, the core gameplay loop has some glaring issues. Key Takeaways Underwhelming Parkour: The movement in this game is incredibly weak and slow. If you are coming from games like Dying Light, the "parkour" here will feel like you're running through wet cement. Basic & Sluggish Combat: While the procedural dismemberment (the FLESH system) looks spectacularly gory, the actual combat mechanics get repetitive fast. The movement feels heavy and sluggish, making fights feel more like a chore than a thrill after a few hours. Forgettable Upgrades: The skill card system and weapon upgrades are extremely basic. They don't offer the depth or satisfying progression you’d expect from a modern action RPG. Disappointing "Fury Mode": Fury Mode is supposed to make you feel like an unstoppable beast. Instead, it feels incredibly basic and is surprisingly weak when you go up against Apex variants (like Crushers or Screamers). It definitely doesn't make you feel OP when you need it most + you can get down with 1-2 hits from big BO frw +A minus if you don't know exactly the points where to fast teleport to complete all the side quest that's gonna be a extra few hours in the game/and the mini map can be anywhere on the floor, table, wall The Verdict Dead Island 2 is a textbook "popcorn game." It looks gorgeous, the gore physics are top-tier, and it's a mindless good time if you just want to smash some zombie heads with a modded pipe. But the sluggish movement, basic combat, and technical bugs keep it from being great. My Rating: 7/10 (A solid, fun time—but only if you buy it on sale!)
WE NEED THE 3 ITS VERY NICE
I genuinely liked this, I played it solo, and I was NOT expecting to. It's got flaws, but on the whole I actually like the plot and many of the characters. Many of them had real depth and flaws and conflict and even GROWTH. Annoying characters get redemption, the bad guys I thought it was setting up wound up being not, the plot actually went interesting places and for a co-op friendslop zombie shooter it had far more depth to the NPC's and story than I expected - I do think it kinda ended too suddenly (not that it was too short, just the plot gets too wrapped up too quickly once you go down that route). Combat is serviceable. It can feel a little floaty at times, the cards system don't really make playstyles change all that much, I didn't find monsters all that spongey but also not that challenging (there were a couple quests and areas that were a chore though for some reason) the gunplay feels decent. I think there was a good variety of melee weapons, could have been a few more, with more distinct design changes and gameplay changes to the mods which felt a little under-baked. The gunplay felt good, but with how limited the ammo was, having a full auto pistol vs a normal one that did 2-3x the damage per bullet and you never needed that bullet hose made the auto weapons pointless. And holy crap there were NOT enough ranged weapons. One semi auto, one burst, one full auto rifle. One pistol, one machine pistol. 3 shotguns (short barrel, long barrel, semi auto), one heavy rifle, one heavy pistol. one nailgun I think. The gun count needed to be tripled for variety. So I was hoping more borderlands esque guns or more modification options for the few it had. But on the whole, they're fun weapons to smash zombies with. Zombie selection isn't bad, none felt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, only once did the exploding kind pop up too close. Art direction isn't bad either. The fact that this game has better glory kills than doom dark ages is sad. I did hate a few NPC's, it was clearly intentional, the character I played - Amy kinda jumps off into my first major gripe The writing jumps back and forth between good and the most hateful sin that we millennials have done - we RUINED dialogue in media because everyone saw firefly and thought they needed that joss whedon insanely quippy, comeback-laced dialogue in EVERYTHING. So very often, the dialogue kinda lurches into being stilted and the one-liners SUCK. Amy's character is particularly bad because i don't know why but generations before us just wrote what they knew. But something about modern media (I'm going to keep blaming my millennial generation) feels far more "a gen Z person as written by a millennial/gen X, far more than media used to. A character in their EARLY 20s at MOST is quoting dead memes noticeably older than she is. I think it stands out because quite a lot of bits in the main plot are actually very well written. But in an attempt to be "quirky" with perpetual snappy combacks, it went way too far into being quippy and "LOL XD" cringe a noticeable amount. And they get dropped in moments that should have been played more somber. A gym bro's two friends get zombie-fied, you kill them, and he's clearly still distressed. My character's snarky statement made me want to smack her. I think the game's tone was far less grindhouse and having a more serious, somber tone most of the time would fit better with the plot and NPC's. It's annoying because it's a trend I see in so much media now. The boss fights were fun but making them into regular enemies and just using that as an intro should have only been done for the first one, after that I would have liked more unique bosses other than just flavor/reskinned versions of what will be just special zombies you mow through later.. But that weird dialogue and tone gripe that pops up throughout, the quests weren't bad and didn't feel repetitive, there was tons of flavor text throughout the world , I do think the hub safezones could have had more active things going on in them, they feel a little dead despite having people in them. The combat was serviceable and I was never seriously challenged but also it wasn't TOO easy. I died a few times. I think the story wrapped up too fast at the end, but seeing as I HATED the first dead island, this was a perfectly solid, 7/10. I had fun, I might even play it again sometime. Get it on sale, and it's worth your time/money.
yes.
Great game, pretty good graphics, gameplay, music, great for playing with friends. Story is good to go, easy to follow.
If you're looking for a great single-player experience, this is it. The campaign is highly entertaining, driven by fantastic fighting mechanics that feel incredibly rewarding. Unlike many games, the story actually keeps its momentum and never gets boring. It’s highly recommended for anyone who loves getting lost in solo exploration and wants a quality game to pass the time.
