DAYMARE: 1998 is a third-person survival horror game that recreates the mood of iconic titles from the '90s, with a fresh storyline. An incident that turns a small town into a deadly zone, three characters to play with and little time to find the truth, before its mutated citizens abruptly end your mission.

"Sacred Heart hospital.... He's going there! and then... He'll be there! ~ Sam walker 10/10 game
I'm on Chapter 4 out of 5 and I plan to finish it, but felt compelled to share my review. It's clear the developers have a love for old school survival horror with numerous references to other games. However, the game is barred down by a lot of Unity jankiness. I lost progress a handful of times and had to restart areas because of one glitch or another that stopped my progression (such as going up an elevator lift and getting stuck in mid-air and being unable to move). The combat is fine, the story is bad and the voice acting is bad (but maybe you can overlook and forgive those), but there's also a terrible, terrible reload mechanic. I imagine the decision was done to had tension, but essentially you can only reload your magazines/clips from the menu and then load them into your gun from the game with either a quick reload (drop your old magazine and have to pick it up) or slow reload (you keep your magazine in your inventory). This choice just bogs the game down a lot and becomes annoying versus tense. If you see it for $3? Maybe grab it if you're a die-hard fan of survival horrors, but otherwise skip it - there are better games out there to play even amongst indies and smaller studios.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Затуп до первого зомби.
This game is an incredibly frustrating experience, and I deeply regret the time spent on it. It suffers from fundamental design flaws that completely ruin the enjoyment, specifically: Abysmal Controls and Aiming: The character's movement is agonizingly slow, clunky, and unresponsive. The aiming system is poorly optimized, lacking any precision or fluidity. Outdated Graphics: The visuals and overall graphics are deeply underwhelming, unpolished, and far below modern expectations. Poor Boss Design & Artificial Difficulty: I managed to reach the final boss segment where you are required to quickly open doors, activate an elevator, and escape while being actively pursued. Passing this area becomes an unfair chore. The failure here isn't due to a lack of player skill, but rather because the sluggish movement mechanics and terrible aiming mechanics actively work against you. Lack of Fair Gameplay Options: Good game design should either provide fair combat mechanics to stand and fight the boss, or a responsive control system to escape smoothly. This game fails at both due to its broken mechanics. Conclusion: I no longer have the patience or the desire to tolerate technical flaws that force you to lose. It is a highly disappointing title, and I strongly advise against wasting your time or effort on it.
Absolute trash sadly
In my opinion, its better game that resident evil 2
DO NOT BUY THIS AT FULL PRICE (Played on normal classic mode) This game is BAD, let me get that out of the way but it genuinely has some really cool ideas but sucks to play. The combat is ok, I would actually REALLY like the reload mechanic if it didnt take literally 10 seconds to get to the inventory EVERY TIME. The whole game is so clunky and feels bad to play. Some of the levels are designed really well but the bullet sponge bosses in later chapters are just so boring not even hard. Performance is good, however there are a lot of bugs, I ended up having to reset to the last checkpoint twice due to getting stuck. The story, writing, voice acting is unbelievably ass, the cutscenes literally go on so long and they are so hard to watch due to the HORRIBLE voice acting it feels like satire but it's obviously not because the game tries to take itself so seriously. It's almost fun bad, closer to just being bad bad though. Anyway if you enjoy resident evil and bad games, maybe pick it up on a 95% sale like I did.
Sirens pierce the fog Nightmares stalk forgotten streets Fear survives the dawn
the protagonist is really unlikeable
After several attempts I decided to say no, I don't mind putting efforts into fights and what not but not when nothing seems to work. To bad because I was close to finishing the game.
