I'm recommending DelayedSun for these reasons. The Dev has contributed his time and effort to this game all while continuing his education. A pretty impressive feat while attending school. During the DEMO version. He has listened to players and fixed many bugs/glitches in the DEMO version. There is no reason to think he would not do the same in Early Access. It's $5. I've paid a lot more for worse games. DelayedSun does have its issues. 1. The jumping is a bit short. It feels like when you jump, your hitting your head on the ceiling. Need to jump a little higher. 2. There is an issue with the melee/primary weapons. After you reload primary, it switches to melee after reload. I didn't notice it while using the Axe. Only while using the Bat. Glad to see this finally made it to Early Access. Keep it up!
Game is an assets flip Well the game is still new and needs updates badly... It's almost good but the devs need to spend WAY more time on this game before releasing it in its current state. The voice acting is a robot speaking and the game play is meh at best. I say wait 2 more years before coming back to this game because right now it feels like all they did was get assets from the unreal engine and just put it in the "game" has potential but not a lot in its current state.
Game breaking scenario where you have to make a jump and its clearly not possible spent 30 minutes doing this... everything was decent up until this point
Surprisingly good and fun to play, especially for just a $5 USD title here at launch! Here's an indie developer who cares about delivering a fun experience at a great price with this game.. something I truly wish we saw more of here on Steam these days! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2XcVA5ko58 The slow motion kills are ultra cool. ..But they can be turned off in the game options should you not like them. I love the exploding heads and body parts! I love how you can strike a red barrel and have it a zombie sky high in the air! Super fun! Crafting and collecting parts and materials to craft.. adds even more depth here for a low price! It's got a story and voice acting. I know it's your standard "save the girl" story, but it still helps add even more depth! The game runs very well and the controls are very responsive as well! ..This game simply delivers a great bang and good fun for your buck. Period. MY SCORE: A 9.5 out of 10 (This score is really high because the value here is high and this game is surprisingly fun) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! .. I've played a lot of $25 and $30 zombie games not nearly this good or this much fun!
The game is very good. Even if it was $10 or more I'll pay for it. The gameplay was good, good graphics and solid story. What to improve? Some puzzle were annoying but I'm pretty sure it will be tweaked soon
Needs work. Enemies warp out of the floor, sometimes they don't make any noise, graphics are meh, puzzles are meh/
This game could be really good, however its plagued with bugs. Bugs: 1} When trying to sight in on guns it is a 50/50 chance you wont be able to sight in to shoot, ive been stuck several times repeatedly clicking to sight in and the character just wont so i end up dying from this. Of all the bugs this needs to patched ASAP as it makes boss levels where there are hordes of zombies extremely difficult. 2} Next, ive had about four separate crashes, all occurring during the jumping boss and now the big guy in the radiation suit. Fairly frustrating as a couple of these occurred after i had beaten the boss. 3} Then there are times where the mouse cursor is appearing on screen during game play causing me to be unable to point my character, opening the crafting menu and closing seems to resolve this, however again this causes you to die several times. 4} There are a 2 points where i have fallen through the map and died. Game play: the game play isnt bad however there are areas to be improved i feel like. 1} Aim-able melee weapons, currently all strikes aim for the torso, unless you do a jumping strike which will hit the head. In a game focused around zombies and headshots this is kind of a big oversight, why would i smash a zombie in its stomach? 2} "grenade" zombies do not actually show that they are holding grenades until they are either killed/being shot or when they are blowing up on you, makes it difficult to prioritize incoming zombies on which to shoot first. 3} There doesnt seem to be a way to return to a hard save (bed save), so when the game autosaves youre pretty much stuck where it saves you, for example i had an instance where it autosaved before a boss fight, i had basically no health and no healing items, needless to say this lead to me having to restart the entire game. 4} The green slime on the ground slaps quite a bit of health off, yet there is sometimes no way to avoid it, the puddles are so large sometimes the character can not jump them, not to mention there hitbox is larger than the actual item. 5} Fire hit box doesnt match the actual fire, resulting in your character catching fire as you are going near fire without actually touching. 6} Zombies will spawn directly on you, rendering you immobile, basically ending you if youre running from a pack of zombies. Especially when a grenade zombie spawns on you, basically instant killing you if youre near half health. Im currently putting this game on a backburner as im stuck on the radiation suit boss due to most of the mentioned bugs above. Once i get back to it i will update this review. Hopefully some new updates resolving issues will be upcoming in the future. Good Luck devs! This is all constructive criticism, the game idea and story are brilliant and i cant wait to see it fixed up a bit! At this time i wouldn't recommend this game at full price, once all the bugs are fixed i would say the game is actually worth more than its original price!
Unreal Baukasten Trash.
Could be better.
