For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

The idea of the game is fantastic....thats where the game ends for me. This is a unknown one error start from very beginning kind of game. Nothing you do changes the game or the storyline. Build a perfect city in intro....still burns to the ground and you start over again, Investigate stockpile and evacuate to every checkpoint......still burned to ground, dont build upper platform soon enough........game over, dont build perfect ciccle of flameguards.........game over, dont explore one thing......game over, explore another thing.......game over. Your citizens do not reproduce, so you only option is immigration which never occurs unless you magically discover them camping out in the insidious fog. I really wanted to give this game a chance because you can tell the developers wanted it work, but they are missing the most important part of a city builder and that is a progression game where one small mistake doesnt force you to restart a 4 hour build.

If Steam had a "Mixed" button, then this game would be perfectly suited for it. The game consists of one campaign and no free play mode so far. That’s okay, though since I wasn't expecting cutscenes in an indie dev game, the storyline is decent enough, and the worldbuilding is also interesting. It's a solid game overall, but HOLY COW is it a waiting simulator. I've spent the last hour on my phone scrolling Instagram just waiting for new events to trigger so the game would progress. In fact, I'm writing this review while waiting for the next step. One campaign run takes about 10 hours, so I guess going for all three endings takes around 30 hours NO MATTER how good or experienced you are since there is definitely some sort of timelock tied to the days. If you liked Frostpunk 1, you'll probably like this game too BUT you'll definitely need a good stream or show on your second monitor so you don't fall asleep.
It could use a lot of polish. Dialog that comes up doesn't really match up with what's happening in the world - or it isn't very clear what they are referring to at times. Game could of been much better with a little more polish and tweaking.
EDIT : I'v finished the game, I can't recommend it anymore. Building feel terrible. To build a watchtower (like most building), you need to : Open the build menu. Select the correct subcategory. Click on the tower. Place the tower in the limited grid. Wait for the tower to be build. Click on the tower. Click on little icon "developement" on the UI that open after selecting the tower. Click on "Fortified tower". Click on "yes" (confirmation pop up). Wait for the tower to be build. Click on the tower. Click on little icon "developement" on the UI that open after selecting the tower. Click on "bolt thrower" or "ball launcher". Click on "yes" (confirmation pop up). Wait for the tower to be build. Click on the tower. Click on the little toggle shift 12h (to do 8h shift instead of 12h, and avoid your guys being tired) Click on the icon of a type of guys, or on "max" to add worker for a shift. Click on the second shift. Click on the icon of a type of guys, or on "max" to add worker for a shift. Click on the third shift. Click on the icon of a type of guys, or on "max" to add worker for a shift. WHAT THE ACTUAL ♥♥♥♥ ? FOR A SINGLE BUILDING ? ARE YOU DRUNK, DEVS ? Everything you do is a pain to do because of the UI. There is a giant tree and you can build around it but since there is very little space and it's far from the ressources you barely build on it. Every warehouse are connected. If you have two warehouse with "raw food", the max stockpile increase but anybody can carry to/from any of the warehouse. So basically it teleport resources. In a game where walking time impact efficiency. the map is fairly large and have plenty of ressources. Meanwhile, it's unlikely you even need to harvest 10% of the advanced material and 5% of the total wood. Raw food is solved by placing a single farm near the tree. Ignore fish, ignore mushroom. Because of this, you basically build a few thing early, upgrade it mid game and you are done. Defending is terrible. Tower can have 4worker per shift, but 99% of the tower's power come from the tower itself, not the worker (they sucks btw and keep being killed). To activate a tower, you need to have a worker assigned. That's it. Doesn't matter if is here or no, doesn't matter if it's 1 or 4. Just stack tower, assign one guy per shift and you are done. Enjoy the sea of bubble saying 3/12 worker over every tower in your city. So, you wanted mroe ressources ? don't worry they got you covered. Open the map, click on an outpost, build & upgrade it. Done, you have now an infinite free stream of ressources. You won't even need to harvest anything yourself ! Oh, it get attacked, but building a few defensive upgrade mean it never get damaged. You still have a pop up requiring multiple click just to say nothing happened. The writting ? what writting ? It's terrible. Example : "-I'll never join you, I need to search for my father. -Would be cool if you join us. -You know what, I'll join you." One hour later. "-I should never joined you ! You are terrible ! -I know. But I need you. -I don't care, I'm leaving." One hour later. "-You know what, I'll trust you. -Good because I need you (no I don't btw)." Meanwhile the same guy say "You can't kill people !" + " Lets kill thoses bastard !" under one minute interval. There is people randomly showing up when you progress saying basic stuff like "we are all going to die", "the fog is bad" for the 10th time when actually nothing happen. I even got the uptopia achievement during the biggest crisis of the fog (not having anybody hurt/debuff for 3 days in a row). Don't forget to click on the sub quest (to reduce your fear meter) that say "material shortage" while you have enough in stock to reach the end of time. [strike]It's ... fine ? I keep having issues tho, even after only a few hours. People starving while standing right new to cooked food. Camera control being stuck (clearly who did this have very little coding experience, since that's a very basic and obvious issue). Quest asking me to make a reinforced watch tower to kill a monster ... but said monster died a few second after the quest pop up, by my ranged send here to trigger said quest. wtf. Then he mention collecting metal ... but I already needed to collect metal to get here. wtf. The voice acting is ... uh. And writting. And "cutscenes". At this point why even trying when you should clearly know there is no talent/knowledge in this field in your team. I really don't want to be rude here but on the other hand I kinda feel I need to warm people that might want to buy this game. Anyway ... it's been 3h yet so far it seems quite negative. the thing is the gameplay seems fine/good ? That's why this review is positive. I don't play games for their story, I play game for their gameplay. I'll see how it goes over time but it's still enjoyable.[/strike]
Cool game, but not worth the price tag in its current state. This game needs a free play mode, along with difficulty options. Currently it only has a ~20 hour long campaign that offers no challenge whatsoever.
As i have played through most of it, i have not finished it. The amount of times that i had to click reselect the building i wanted to build after an autosave or event is just frustrating. the sheer amount of being attacked but no pop up indicator of over the thing attacking a building is annoying as heck. like what are my guys shooting at, i can not even see where they are. Building is a pain, sub quests a pain as in they pop up with sufficient resources but yet have to do them or my fear goes up. I would really love a sandbox mode instead of having to do a story. it is not that good of a story even... as others have said writing is terrible. and the story just feels way to fast even. if i beat the prologue, do not force me to start at it again if i want to start over. because after the prologue it doesn't matter if i start there or not. Again let me stress that building in this game is just painfully frustrating.
The events in the game are hard scripted to happen at certain days. Meaning if you built and researched everything by day 30 you have to just let the game run without really doing anything until the finale which is way later. Also AI art which I dislike
