Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.71/day in the week to Aug 19 → 13.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

New Game Mode - Kingdoms - Now Playable!
“This squalid Kingdom, these corrupted lands, they are yours now, and you are bound to them.”
Kingdoms is an entirely new stand-alone strategic campaign game mode available to play now in Darkest Dungeon II.

Featuring a completely reimagined game structure, Kingdoms is a parallel game experience to the Confessions core game mode. You will be challenged to defend a crumbling realm against incursion from all new enemy factions.
Manage a persistent roster of heroes, gather resources, and pursue an epic questline in order to track down and defeat the source of evil before all is lost.

Progress in each game mode is tracked separately, and you can freely switch back and forth between active sessions of either.
Kingdoms is being released in thematic modules, each focusing on a different enemy threat. All three adventure modules - “Hunger of the Beast Clan”, “Secrets of the Coven”, and “Curse of the Court”- are available now!

Gather your courage and ride out into the chaos of a world undone.
Four heroes and a stagecoach are all that stand between darkness and salvation.

Reviews
It is definitely not the easiest game, but since it's a Roguelite there is always progression to be had. Other than that: Still beautiful, still haunting, still stressful. I love it as much as the first one, maybe even more.
Runs are WAAAAAY too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long but other than that, pretty fun.
I found this game to be ok and give it a 6.5/10, which is bad to average considering DD1, which for me was 10/10 in every aspect. For this game, roguelike means luck will play a big part in your runs whether you like it or not. There is a learning curve in figuring out which groups are effective for which maps and that adds some complexity and a factor of trial and error. Character growth is very brief and does not persist between new runs + runs can take about 2 hours to complete so it is a big commit when you start one. If you have played DD1 imagine that you assemble a group of characters of your choice and you start your run from a Ruins type map, you complete the map and then you camp and then move on to some other type of map like Warrens and then you camp and then you move on to another type of map like Weald until you finish that and then fight the boss. All of this back to back and this was your run. You play 5 of such chapters in total and then you finish the game. They should have taken the DD1 recipe and expanded on that instead honestly. In conclusion, enjoyable but I don't want to replay it. Buy it when it's on sale.

Not difficult, just poorly balanced with enemies getting multiple consecutive turns and bosses that can kill the entire party in two atks.
Sadly the game is not as good as the first one. I was excited at first but the game feels far more random than DD1. It doesn't just feel difficult anymore but borderline unbeatable at points if you don't get lucky, no matter how much you try to prep. Also the artstyle change is attrocious and the weird 3d at times does not help at all. Pretty disappointing.

I can't recommend this game enough. There are so many small details and aspects about this game that really surprised me and that I appreciate, mainly the fact that the "heroes" are not actual heroes, but are normal human beings, seeking forgiveness or redemption from their past; some of the Shrine's backstory gave me goose bumps for how well-thought they were, f.e. Jester's Chapter 5, MAA Chapter 2, ecc... If you're looking to buy this product, my advice is to play this game without spoilers, even when going against bosses and such; the beauty of discovering things and facing them for the first time is one of the many things that make this game great. If you're wondering about the DLC's, personally i think those are all worth it (maybe the "Infernal Supporter" can be skipped, since it's just cosmetics)
