its challenging but it makes you realize that in life things are going to get difficult and that just trying over and over again will eventually reward you later, some people have even said it makes them feel like there doing stuff in life with purpose. ive met people that have been changed by this game.
not enjoyable, its just too old amd every boss sucks. People that say this game is good in 2026 are either old people who lived in a time where dark souls was the only game of its kind or elitist casual sex accidents that objectify women and cant tell the difference between punishing game design or gone wrong experimental poop

better than dark souls 3 , nostalgiaslop is best word to describe this game. super good boss roster and has the best boss in all souls games ( Artorias the abyss walker ) but other than that bed of chaos and seath runback makes you want to abolish every pregnant lady in 250 mile radius from you , super high highs and low lows, definetly acquired taste.
Platinei, Muito foda po comprar 👍
First played in Switch 1 in 2019 and then PS4 Pro in 2022, now at PC with XBox controller in 2025-26, it is a game that is not easy but not hard at all as long as you have patience and some knowledge from the Internet. As a 43 old guy out of work for 2 years in a below average health, it is getting harder each day for me to appreciate new games nor have the energy to learn new games. For me, DS1 is simple and familiar and worth-play, especially with parry and execution. However, the NPCs are having a bitter and harsh life and eventually you are the only living creature in Firelink Shrine, the rest are dead one by one. Maybe by proceeding the game, you are actually put yourself in a much more lonely place, maybe it is the right thing to do by just sitting around the Firelink Shrine and do nothing.
yes
Lordran isn't a set of levels — it's a place. Firelink Shrine sits at the heart of it, and everything spirals outward and downward from there. Then, hours deep in Blighttown, you open a shortcut and find yourself right back where you started. No other game has given me that feeling since. The world isn't big, it's interlocked, and every shortcut feels like a personal victory. The story is told almost entirely through architecture, item descriptions, and ruins. Nobody holds your hand. You look up at Anor Londo and just understand that gods lived here once, and that something went terribly wrong. The bosses are nearly all outstanding. Ornstein & Smough is still one of the best duo fights ever made. Sif breaks your heart. Artorias is the moment the combat finally clicks. And Gwyn — a final boss you can parry, while that piano plays and tells you nobody wins here. One exception: Bed of Chaos. That's not a boss fight, it's an instant-death puzzle with a bad camera and a hole in the floor. Everyone knows it. Grit your teeth, get through it, forget it. Everything else is close to flawless. If you've never been to Lordran, this is the version to go. And if you have — you already know you're going back. Praise the Sun.
Recomendo!
