A masterpiece. The interconnected world design still blows my mind, and Artorias remains my favorite boss fight in gaming
simulador de masoquismo 10/10
I finally beat this game after playing it on and off for two years. I have never beaten a souls game before, so I don't know how it compares to the others. All I can say is that the process of beating this game was more unique than any other I've experienced. Most other reviews will share a similar sentiment: You either love it or hate it, and if you do love it, you'll still hate it. The gameplay feels very janky and unfair A LOT of the time, however it is so satisfying to triumph past a boss or area that's blocked your path for a long time. This game gives you a sense of achievement time and time again. Play this game to enjoy the journey. Enjoy exploring, leveling up, finding new items, the scenery, the creatures, the bosses, and most of all enjoy agonizing gameplay. Trying to figure the story out without google is like trying to breathe in outer space. I love this game a lot.
Dark Souls 1, nada mas
very difficult but fun at times
The one that started it all. Second best in the trilogy (IMO) and straight up ICONIC. This being the first souls game I played on me old Xbox 360 it gets the ol nostalgia buff, but even past that it is genuinely still an amazing game. This game has a lot of "moments" that give me the warm and fuzzy thinking about them going in blind is for sure the way to go. BECAUSE of the challenge accomplishments feel much more earned leaving you wanted to hit the dougie for opening a door or kicking a ladder. Now of course there are imperfections, some zones are whack, NPC "Questlines" are a thing I guess, and the second half of the game is... rough in terms of polish. But it's so worth the ride. Highly recommend doing a souls marathon to really grasp the beauty of this series. 9/10 - Play that Character Creation theme at my funeral please o7
