Dark Parables: The Exiled Prince Collector's Edition

Alright! This time the game didn't fight me and actually started up when I clicked on it! I also managed to play the Bonus Game and... Slight improvements from the first one. We have a map this time! You will still have to memorize where stuff is, and if you are anything like me... You WILL get lost... But map...! Yay...? Ah well. There is also a new story. Beautiful drawings of people and designs. I thought that the Frog Prince (on the loading screen) was Johnny Depp. XD... I thought this game was harder than the first one... For one, there are more places and I got really confused with the "vine lever". That one got me hard. Also, the puzzles are rather challenging too. So extra time will be spent or... Lock up your hint system for 5min... *-* A Strategy Guide will aid those who are completely at a loss, seeing as this game wont HINT you where to go. There. I tested it for you. Yes. This is an "old school" H.O.G. Majority of the time YOU WILL do H.O. scenes -> Where you pick up pieces of the object you are supposed to make. Does it make it any less fun? Hell no! It's really... Freaking relaxing. Until you get lost. Or rather me. But that's nothing new. Excuse me. Two down and thirteen more to go. Oh and the Bonus Game will show you what you are going to "mess with" in the next game. A preview. Woop woop! Love it. Thank ya! <3 :) :> :D

a more than worthy sequel to an already solid HOG experience. the exiled prince offers not only beautiful sceneries but also an engagin story involving one of the most sympathetic antagonists in the genre. all the pain he carries doesn't excuse his actions, but it does add extra layers to the problem and the ending is well deserved for everyone involved.

Game was far too long for the story it's telling. The writers seemed to incorporate every fairytale that had a princess and even some that don't into the story. It's a slightly older game in the Dark Parables series so graphics are not great, but it's to be expected. The HO puzzles are monotonous after awhile because they are the type where the items are broken into shards and you have to find the pieces. Gets old. Music is probably the best thing about this game because it fits the scene perfectly and has a fairytale sound to it. There is a map in this game, but it's very limited in scope. It doesn't tell you anything but where you are and none of the areas are labeled, so it's tough to tell where things are on the map. It also shows where an HO puzzle can be found, but again, it's tough to figure out anything on the map. Aside from a few circles and squiggly lines, its as indecipherable as the map in Goetia. Map also doesn't have fast travel which makes for a lot of backtracking in a game of this size and this many locations. The lack of proper map is made up for slightly by the detailed objectives given every time you pass a certain point. It helps a lot because there are lots of locations that are accessible whether you are done with them or not. Without fast travel, you will find yourself lost a few times for sure. What's really cool is that there are collectibles in this game that actually have a purpose. For every collectible found, it gives you a little quicker hint recharge. After hours of squinting at shards of HO puzzles, you will be grateful for that quick hint recharge.

18年就下载的游戏硬生生在硬盘里躺了四年 毕竟这游戏出的有点早，建议窗口化 游戏里几乎所有的素材都能在目录下找到，奖励关的奖励毫无意义，或者说，意义仅在于歌曲名称 唯一令我不太满意且很佩服的地方在于，东西藏得太好了

i played this long ago and i still enjoyed it

As a sequel to the first game I'd say it was a definite step up. I liked that they had fun with the story and that they brought more "lore" in from the previous game in Easter-eggs. [spoiler]I do wish though that they kept his curse to only being immortal, adding the other curse "where every one he touches turns into frogs" seems forced. [/spoiler] I am loving the franchise so far and will be playing the next installment.

I would recommend this game to anyone. 4.5 stars.

Art is really nice in this one! The puzzles were not that complex, repetitive, but I enjoyed the atmosphere of the game overall. The first HOG I've ever played back on the big fish app so I've got a soft spot for it.
