About

Mirror Layers is a first person social horror game.
Explore the mysterious apartment 12, cooperate with other players to solve challenging puzzles and survive the horrors of the Mirror, a distorted reality tainted by tragedy.
To proceed in Mirror Layers it's necessary to interact with other players through a social network called Propaganda. Here you will be able to share advice, opinions and especially items with other people. The game also provides tools with which you can take notes and pictures; remember, "sharing" is caring!
Propaganda web/android app is now available! Cooperate with other players while you're away from MirrorOS!

The focus of the game is to solve increasingly varied and complex puzzles, exploring the environment, collecting clues, important objects and collaborating through Propaganda.
But beware, once you're through the Mirror's threshold you will not be safe anymore...

The reality behind the Mirror has more than one way to put you in danger. A creature lies within the Mirror, one moved only by its instinct to search for something... A part of you, maybe?
There's more: negative emotions permeates this place, phantoms of a dark past that will torment you.

In Mirror Layers the player acts as themselves.
You received an anonymous invitation to Apartment 12 of Chandran Building, a bizarre 16 stories tall apartment complex whose walls hold a dark secret.

STATUS: Fully finished the game and got all achievements. Still helping people out on Propaganda. Also got the game for free through one of MyMadnessWorks' giveaways on Twitter. Let me get straight to the point: Mirror Layers is one of the most unique and fun horror games I have ever played, and it probably will stay that way for a long while. Do yourself a favor and go through the game blind right now. I'll check the english (and french) Propaganda server from time to time if you need help. Just don't be like me and miss out on this incredible experience for years. Hell, try out the demo first if you're unsure, it's free! Keep in mind it is a little bit different from the full game, but it should give you a little idea of what to expect. ... But what is Mirror Layers? To put it short, it seems like your typical first person horror game... and I guess in a way it would be. Solve puzzles, navigate a dark house, avoid a monster, all those things. But what sets ML apart from the others is Propaganda, its own social network. Every user you can talk to on there, every file sent, every post, all of those are by actual real players. You can download a note that someone actually handwrote and hold it in-game, inspect it, place it somewhere for later, etc. The interesting thing about Propaganda is that it isn't only here to give you a cool thing to look at or to talk about your experience with others - that would be boring - instead, the game makes use of the social aspect for puzzles, requiring the help of others to complete them, usually by downloading notes that they wrote down of parts of the puzzles they got, but you didn't. Don't worry, you'll barely ever have to actually post things if you really don't wanna (but why not, come on) and no matter how many players are online at the same time you'll always be able to see older posts and some users might still check it from time to time to help out if someone asks for it (yes, I'm talking about myself.) You might think it's extremely easy to get spoiled that way, but thankfully ML's social network has many systems in place to avoid you from doing that. Despite only playing it years after it came out, I somehow managed to not get spoiled through it. The users are also pretty clean, probably thanks to the report function that can be used to alert devs of any big spoilers or messages that shouldn't be on there. You know the ones... this is a social media, after all. And even in the horror aspects, I feel like ML still is incredible. Some people might be put off by its maybe generic-looking HD visuals (ML definitely isn't unique for being a first person horror game set inside a house) but I feel like that's judging a book by its cover. Mirror Layers doesn't rely on jumpscares (in fact, I don't really remember any, but that could also be my memory being silly.) Instead builds up atmosphere through the mirror world's dark ambiance through its ambiance and its monster that you can also somewhat tweak to your liking with difficulty options. I played on Normal and didn't have many issues with it, but there's also an Easy and Hard difficulty for those seeking a calmer time or being scared. Want to hide from the monster while it's around? Sure! Turn the lights off, get under a bed or inside a closet and hide there. Either click to close it or slowly pull it to make less noise and attract it less. Want to be brave and face it? Sure! Run around, avoid it, close doors on it, push chairs against said doors, etc. The game gives you so much freedom with how you tackle it and I find that really great. Yes I hid for like 90% of my playthrough. Yes I was too scared. Yes it was incredible. I don't want to make this review too long out of fear (ha-ha) of it impacting less people, so I'll leave it at that. I really wish there was more to this game... It absolutely deserves more love than it got, and hey, it still has a free demo that acts as a sort of prologue too, so you can always try that out first. The puzzles never get too hard unless you overthink them, both in the demo and the full game, and once again, just make a post on Propaganda if you're stuck and someone will eventually come help you out. Give them a part of you. 10/10

A complete mind-♥♥♥♥. The game makes you doubt your sanity whilst you are playing - utterly awesome! LOVE THIS GAME!
Problème d'insalubrité, les proprios répondent pas quand on demande des travaux, c'est pas ouf, mais en tout cas j'ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à voyagé à travers un miroir
LISTEN, I bought this game on sale and its the BEST $5 IVE EVER SPENT IN MY LIFE! I cant express how wonderful this game is! The idea of Propaganda is GENIUS! We have to rely on REAL people to go forward, I was SO sad when it ended, I BEG the DEVS to release DLC! I promise you, you will not be disappointed if you give this game a try! (IF you enjoy puzzles, that is) MOST UNDERRATED GAME IVE EVER PLAYED, HANDS DOWN!!!! Ivan, you're SOMETHING else, the world doesn't have enough of whatever tha hell you got going on up there! 10/10
In this game you work together asynchronously with other players through the use of an in-game social media application, Propaganda, to solve various puzzles scattered throughout the ever-changing Apartment 12. Half of the game is basically a cooperative escape room with quite difficult puzzles (don't worry, if you get stuck I'm sure you can find people discussing how to progress on Propaganda), funny art sharing and minesweeper. The other half consists of more straight forward horror segments, but I don't really want to spoil any of them since they don't really follow any specific patterns - play the game and see for yourself! No other horror game has managed to make me this unsettled in years, and it even got a scream out of me at one point! Very fun game, and one that needs tons more love. Layer 2 was my favorite ;)
Entendi nada e isso que foi o legal
Concept vraiment original et cool, l'ambiance est présente mais je n'ai personellement pas compris l'histoire (surtout la fin)
