good story'
I really enjoy the story telling in this series. Dark Parables: Rise of the Snow Queen reminded me again how wonderful it is! I adore the fairy tale settings (except the giant spider in the bonus chapter) and I am also very thankful for the map to navigate the many beautiful scenes that can feel like a maze at times. Absolutely beautiful! Definitely will continue to pick up the series on sale as they are quite short to play through.
Dark Parables is one of the BEST HOP game series I have run across and by far one of the most fun. I own almost the entire collection to date and would love to continue adding to my library. Buy the bundle or when they're on sale and you will literally have HOURS of fun. Each of these games takes me roughly 6 hours. Well worth it!
Dark Parables #3. A series of fragmented object games with puzzles and stories that each stand alone, but are also interconnected in the form of recurring characters. But each game tells its own story and they can technically be played in any order. No fast travel or achievements. It does come with a bonus adventure, however. Also there are collectibles that unlock lore. The story is an interesting mash up of Snow White and The Snow Queen.
I'm going to stop ragging on the price tag given that I'm doing 8 of these reviews in succession, but imagine (if anyone actually reads all of them) that I mentioned it every single time. The game itself is fantastic. Solidly the 2nd best game in the series, beat only just barely by the 2nd game. The story is great, the visuals are fantastic, and everything moves so smoothly together. Sort of a lost art in the later games, but this one leads you very well between areas without having to consult hints! The pieces all felt like they fit very well together, and I wish the later games had taken more inspiration from this one and the second.
童年的味道
This is the first Dark Parables game I played and the one that got me hooked. The graphics, storyline, voice acting, and characters are all top notch. I highly recommend if you are into hidden object games.
Белоснежка краш
Love the story line for all these games.
Huge improvement over the previous two entries. The graphics are much better, brighter, and clearer. As a result the HO scenes are not nearly as frustrating or as impossible to do. The colors are so well done and don't blend in at all, and none of the scenes are dark or gray, making it more appealing to the eye. Also, the hint button is better done, and I didn't have to look at the guide once. Exiled Prince was a nightmare without the guide. But here it is pretty clear what needs to be done. More love was given to the puzzles, but even then the developers were clearly still more interested in the HO scenes. Just a great step in the right direction for this series.
