From a friend who has been working with this game, this game will update no more, the company has been dissolved. Not recommended for anyone buy this game unless the company pay off his salary.
My play area seems too small to play, and getting a camera to work for desktop mode is a pain. It also seems like this game is basically officially dead, although there still seems to be a fan community around. I wouldn't buy this unless you have a VR setup, or until after it receives substantial update/leaves early access (if it ever does). Which is a shame, because the idea is a super cool one.
So, review time. IDK what all the drama is about, I won't pretend that I do. This is just a review of the game in its current state in January of 2026. It's (almost) everything I wanted in a VR Rhythm Game. Most of the games that people talk about using for exercise involve heavy arm use--but if you want to burn calories, you're best off using the bigger muscles: the legs (this is true for both men and women). This isn't DDR--it's all horizontal and vertical movement, there's no forward and back, but it will make you sweat. Plus, for the small library, there's a HUGE community contributed library of which I have barely even scratched the surface. Constructive Criticisms: (1) Using HTC Base Stations and Trackers for feet, the shoe calibration is wonky. It's almost mirrored, and I know that transformation matrices and quaternions can be hard, but this is just hilariously bad. So my quick workaround: strap the trackers to your ankles, compensate to the best of your ability by doing opposite of what it looks like you should do, then after "calibration" bend down and physically rotate the tracker around your ankle until the shoe is in the right spot. Devs, please fix this. (2) Game library is too small. "Okay but you said there's community content." Yes, I did, and there is, but of the tracks I sampled, most ONLY have a "Hard" mode with a rare "Normal" (which is also very hard for me), and "Expert" (that I don't even want to open for fear of shock). Now, I do hope to get to a point where I can play harder content, but bottom line is that there's not enough "Easy" content (that I've found) for people who are starting, who have a disability, or who are overweight. Devs, please add new content, I'll pay a fair fee for DLC to cover licensing costs--and Rebuff already knows how to tap the VRC scene for good artists. (3) Community Content that uses YT, the one community song I tried that connected to YT experienced a latency issue that was not-insignificant. The lag between the game and the song was more than half a beat. This is a tricky problem to solve, assuming it's not the fault of the community creator who provided the one mapping I tried. That having been said, I feel like there must be some way to fish out a fix or solution--but it just adds more fuel to the fire in Criticism (2), please add more content--I will happily pay for DLCs to cover song licensing and dance mapping. Maybe contract/hire some of your community creators if you need extra hands! Overall: If you have VR with FBT capacity and you want to sweat, this game is worth it. However, it also needs more content, and a little more fine-tuning: the last update was in June of last year, so someone needs to light a fire under the devs' butts, because the game is almost perfect.
If anyone likes playing the arcade game Dance Rush: Stardom, this is an at home, more immersive version of it. At the time of writing, I don't have full body tracking, so I used the external app that tracks foot movement and it was very simple to set up and had really good tracking! While the in game menus took a bit of time adjusting to without using controllers, they are designed for easy navigation. Also the community made maps were easy to download so this is a game that I would really recommend! Looking forward for future updates/improvements!
