Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 11 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Alright. Let's break it down! This game is very Nancy Drew. Lot's of exploration, clue deducing, clue connecting, with very little threats. Now I want to preface that there are threats within a few of the chapters but they are few and far between, and if you take your time and pay attention most of those threats can be avoided. This game gives you heavy lore, lots of beautiful imagery, ambiance, and atmosphere. I wish it had more threats, more moments that actually validated the angst that the scenes set, however that's a personal preference. If you're looking for a horror game that doesn't have the classic chase scenes, fights, jump scares, or even the classic "Bad Guy" then this game is for you. Spoiler: you got a few different endings, and some great hidden mental "fu**ery". This game is more about fighting yourself than a threat, and what I mean is that this game gives you a lot of moments where you don't want to do that's needed, or what the game wants you to. So take this review with a grain of salt. In recommend it, though it's not something I would traditionally play. It's not your classic horror game, but great if you wanna experience heavy lore, deduce clues, and investigate every inch within the game. Just wasted 7 hours of my time trying to clear a story game where I can't reach the ending due to a deduction not appearing in the vault at all. I hope this bug effects no one else.
With only one bug of a deduction chain not starting, (solved by restarting the chapter or trying the answer without deductions), this is by far one of the most moody Lovecraftian stories. Its got that atmosphere that is hard to get right, and the connections to actual Lovecraft stories are not missed on me. If you love Lovecraftian lore, and you can handle some jankyness, like having to press a small button you barely see after a puzzle once, this is something well worth it. I'd love to see more stories like this come out of the developers! I know i'll be following them closely~ Ia Ia!
Only in Chapter 2, Mouse keeps unbinding, Unable to re-enter Ocean-1 (where apparently the stone and keycard to access it are). Although there is an achievement for getting through the maze without using the stone, that doesn't seem possible unless random luck has more to do with it that anything else (in which case I'm doomed). I'm also out of harvestable energy fungus and no more shows up on sonar. Being at zero energy doesn't seem to be a problem (unless it is and I don't know it). Being Cthulhu and not being able to get into my own city is NOT FUNNY AND I CURSE ANY WHO LAUGH AT IT! I Heard that! You are hereby cursed to dwell in the land of flatulent Moonbeasts where even the air tastes bad.
Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss mě příjemně překvapilo a hra mě bavila. Nejvíc mi sedl pomalejší průzkum prostředí, hledání indicií a logické hádanky.
Okay let's begin with the pros -The idea for exploration and the invastigation is an amazing thing and I wish for more games with simmilar or even more coplex system as it is very fun. -Lore is very interesting and I like the storytelling, works very well with the invastigation system. -The way you can solve the puzzles in two ways is amazing -The game being about cthulhu is a rare thing so it's always apriciated and for the cons... -Bugs, crashes, glitches, softlocs and other simmilar -The game is meant to play just one way and one way only, because it seems noone tested it; example: You can close the popup menu in the game using ESC or Space. Using Space is the way they wanted you to do this, but if you press ESC then you're stuck with your cursor that prevents you from doing interactions - a softlock that can be fixed restarting a game or by remebering to NEVER press ESC -Solving puzzles has two ways the "good one" that has no consequenses but is harder and the "bad one" that has consequenses but is easier. Howerver the consequesnes are nonexistant for the gameplay and it only works twoards getting one achievement. It is a wasted potential.| -Final puzzle of the game is so annoying and timeconsuming, at that time I wished I have never bought this game Sadly the bugs and glitches outshine the good aspects of the game and leave you with a bad aftertaste. After all I enjoyed the game as I love everything connected to Lovecraft and Cthulhu, yet the game isn't it's full price in its curent state. If you wish to play this game I'd advise you to wait for a 50% discount or the game getting it's bugs fixed. Lore and gameplay - 8/10 Bugs and glitches - 2/10 Overall its a 5/10 game (untill bugs are fixed)
wont recommend especially on controller - very buggy also the overall gameplay action-wise seemed boring to me
I finished the game a week ago, and honestly, despite its technical flaws and weird plot choices most of the game, the ending is still on my mind which means to me that it’s an interesting enough game to consider “good”. It needs work though to work out the bugs. What I will say though is that the ending makes you think, about why a certain character did what it did, and why the events unfolded the way they did. But once you understand, it makes sense. Sadly, the game does a poor job of explaining it though, it seems like the ending was rushed. But, it is very interesting and I liked the twist. I absolutely loved chapter 6. It was probably the only chapter that felt good, but it was so worth it and carries the game from being mediocre to enjoyable. I think the other chapters should’ve taken note of its mystery and investigative/clue gathering mechanics, because the game did a bang up job on it. The other chapters focus too much on people in my opinion and just wasn’t as interesting. All in all, I’d say this game is worthy of a 6.5/10, decent, pretty good, but needs work technically to be bumped up to a 7.5/10 at most. Lastly, the voice acting was abysmal throughout, It was so forced and shallow as if the voice actors took no time to rehearse their lines. I really hope if there’s a sequel that this is rectified. Do I recommend the game? If you’re interested in lovecraftian lore and can temper your expectations on things like voice acting and bugs, then yes. I wouldn’t play it for the story though. The story is ok, but the investigative elements really shine when the game lets you focus on it as there’s a ton of lovecradtian lore behind it. My review will probably be confusing to some because of my mixed feelings on this title, because I had a mixed experience, but underneath the bugs and awful voice acting lies a good game worthy of purchasing on a sale.
Game looks great, it nails the atmosphere, visuals and voice acting. I had no performance issues. However, to say that game is not what I was hoping for would be an understatement. I expected somewhat standard survival horror with Lovecraftian theme, with similar mechanics. That is not the case here. It seems that every puzzle needs additional ten steps to complete without any real reason, other than to stretch the gameplay. According to Steam I've played for two hours. It seemed way longer than that, considering how boring and unecessary demanding the gameplay is, let me tell you. I wish all the best of luck and success for developers, but I can not recommend this game.
