Mostly a pretty good Picross game, but it gets a little frustrating with the bigger triangle levels and the last few "regular" levels for each size. Things I liked: - The "comfort" functions of autocomplete, autocounting - The different available colors - Quantity of puzzles Things I disliked: - Later levels require you to guess (the hint function literally says "guessing here might lead to a contradiction") which kind of makes you feel dumb. After that happens to you a couple of times you stop trying to find where you can logically fill in another square and start thinking "I bet this is another part where you have to guess" which takes out a lot of the fun of Picross. Minor changes I'd make / Bugs: - Colored numbers (mainly the green ones that you already did) are kind of hard to see - Hint function usage in triangle puzzles sometimes breaks their resolution somehow? the puzzle looks squished - Last triangle that is filled in in a triangle puzzle is always blue - Color setting isn't saved between puzzles Overall I'd recommend it because it's a nice Picross game with a very awesome autocomplete function, but when a puzzle is marked "Hard" I'd skip it because those are the guessing ones. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd maybe give it a 7/10.
I'm really glad nonogram/picross games come out on steam relatively often these days because I don't want to play workshop levels and this way there's always something new and a bit different. cross pixels isn't the best-looking of the bunch (looks very similar to picross touch, actually) but it has a lot of much-appreciated quality of life features and customizability. it's also the hardest I've ever played of its kind. puzzles start out easy and mostly symmetrical but some of the 'hard' ones aren't kidding. there's a hint system I thought I'd never use, not because I'm particularly smart but between the hundreds (might be thousands at this point) of nonograms I've played over the years I've only had real trouble with a few. hard puzzles here require you to think ahead and consider multiple rows/columns at the same time, something I can't really do and when I can I find figuring out where that single '2' could be in a line of 25 a bit tedious. I still only used hints on the final few puzzles I'd been stuck on for weeks and even the hint system had trouble with one, it needed some more human interaction before it could provide further advice. maybe the developers can tweak it a little to be more accurate but it's a neat and unique feature as it is. speaking of unique features, has anybody heard of triangle-shaped nonograms? it was definitely new to me, weird at first and needed some getting used to but really fun. the workshop offers bigger ones than the ones in the main game, some were created by the developers, so they're semi-official and the 30x30 ones are crazy. the game has been patched a few times since release, more levels got added as well with even more coming, and I can recommend it in its current state, but it could still use a few smaller additions, like marking puzzles in progress on the level select screen, making completed sections more distinguishable (right now the thin black border of the numbers turns green), and there are still a few bugs, like the timer resetting when you leave a puzzle (don't care personally, turned it off immediately) or triangle puzzles being a bit buggier than regular ones, which can lead to some frustration, but nothing major. hopefully these will be addressed in future updates. if you're looking for more nonograms to solve with helpful features and unique stuff like triangle puzzles and a hint system in case you get stuck, definitely pick this up.

It's a pretty good Picross game. The game is well made and the controls work great. I really like the addition of the triangle puzzles. It feels kind of weird at first, but once you get the hang of it it's really fun, and it's much more of a challenge than standard Picross puzzles. The first few puzzles are really easy. It took me about 50 minutes to complete the first 84 puzzles and 11 of the triangle puzzles, but once you get to bigger puzzles it's a lot more difficult. I tried two of the bigger puzzles and they both took me more than 10 minutes to complete. So far the puzzles are well designed, I haven't had to guess to complete any of the puzzles. My only complaint is that many of the earlier puzzles are symmetrical, or almost symmetrical, which makes it too easy, but it gets better as you progress. The game also has an editor so people can submit their own puzzles, but it doesn't seem to work for now. Creating puzzles works fine, but when you go in the workshop section to view puzzles created by other people it's empty. The developer has mentionned in a comment that he's working on bug fixing, so it should be working properly in the next few days. I'll update my review once it's fixed. It's good until the end where it gets IMPOSSIBLY DIFFICULT, and not in a good way at all. In the late game you constantly have to guess. You make an assumption by marking a square or placing an X. Then you solve from there until hopefully finding a contradiction. It can be fun if you must do it 1-2 times in a level but the late-game levels are so bad you open them up and you immediately have to start guessing. Many dozen times. Because there's just nothing to work with. There is so little information the vast majority of your assumptions will not lead to any contradictions so you don't progress at all. So you make a guess, get nothing out of it, click Undo a bunch of times, then rinse and repeat many many times over. The in-game Hint system can predict the most wild, far-fetched, ridiculous, guess-based deductions that you hypothetically could do. But some of the last levels are so incredibly bad even that Hint system fails to produce any help. I enjoyed most of the game but I still have several levels to go through and I'm beyond demotivated with them. For what it's worth I really, really enjoyed the triangle levels. Sadly there aren't many of those, they're all small, they become very easy once you learn to read them, and there are no achievements tied with them. I would like to encourage the developer to make a separate triangle-based Picross game out of this - it would be unique for Steam.
An adequate little nonogram game. Good QOL (though sometimes a little overly helpful), puzzles are on the easy side. The triangle based sets are interesting, though it doesn't work quite as well as one would hope. Runs great on Linux.
Thumbs down! This game has potential, but the interface needs work. The triangle workshop levels do not show a check mark when they have been solved, so I can’t tell which puzzles I already completed. This is a shame since triangular nonogram grids would be an interesting change of pace from the more common rectangular grids. This game might be worth getting if the developers ever fix it, but I think it has been abandoned.
The engine is pretty good and you guys are probably good devs, but you have no idea what hanjie is about. Most of the puzzles are terrible are not really fun. Symetry is really not fun at all. Hard puzzles are not puzzles where you have to guess 50 moves. Guessing is not fun. It's not hard, it's plain boring.
操作性は問題ありませんが、出題に問題があります。 Large後半の出題が、ひどすぎます。 50×50の出題もありません。
Eh. I'm not sure whether to recommend it or not, but most of the puzzles were fun early on, and it's just the final 10 or so that are the worst. *You DO have to guess in this game - not all puzzles are solvable just based on logic/deduction. - No ability to zoom or move the screen around. Not too much of a problem, but it was difficult to track the line and column on the larger puzzles for me. - Squares kind of get counted as you go, but only if you drag them. - You can change between 4 different colours, which can be helpful. Eg. to keep track of which squares you filled in with logic and which were done with guesses & may be wrong. - Most puzzles can be finished without guesswork, but it seems that the ones marked "hard" require at least one guess. - There are no penalties for wrong squares, but also no "check if correct" button. Instead you use the hint button and it will tell you if there are incorrect squares, and then auto-correct them for you. This does mean if you wanted to, you could just fill in the entire puzzle and then use the hint button to auto-correct it, solving it for you. It might be worth doing that for some puzzles, such as the notorious large puzzle 45. - I also had an issue where if I minimised the game I couldn't get back into it, but I'm unsure whether that was a problem with the game or with my computer/settings.
👎 I would not recommend it unless you want to play triangle puzzles. It's okay, but nothing exceptional except for the triangle puzzles which are different from the usual squared tiled picross. Unresolved crashing bugs prevents me from using the Editor mode. Positive: +One of the few picross game containing triangle puzzles! +Lots of puzzles: Rectangle puzzle: 54 tiny, 98 small, 103 medium, 54 large (309 puzzles total). +Lots of puzzles: Triangle puzzle: 28 small, 54 medium (82 puzzles total). +Workshop support Negative: -Final images remains with two color, no colored version. -UI is very big (like for a phone). No way to change the UI scale. -Lack of information when selecting puzzles (no title, no size). -Crashing bugs in editor mode that blocks you from even using editor mode again. -Other weird stuff like: -In the Option menu, when selecting "Sound Options", the sound slider is on top of the dropdown. -In the Editor, you can add 5 rows, but removing only goes one at a time? -Some weird stuff like no icon in windows taskbar when opening the game. -Pressing F1 auto-solve a puzzle? (I think the dev should remove that!) -etc.
