About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

Reminds me of Dead Space. Great game.

With deep enriching story with you discovering the world in the same time as the traveler, you get really immersed. I found myself playing for 1-3 hours without me noticing that amount of time has passed. The gameplay is challenging but fair and resorces are scarce but just enough to get by if you play smart. Best part, you can pet cats in game. Solid 10/10
LOVE THIS GAME
ok
Pros: Very atmospheric giving a feel of Pacific Drive and Dead Space combined into one. Cons: The performance. With a 5080 and with the settings set to low I get about 20-30fps. Using DLSS framegen I do reach 60 fps but micro stutters occur and the fps always drops when enemies spawn in.
Punkty zapisu to jakiś żart, trzeba często kilkakrotnie powtarzać niemal całą lokację. Na plus jedynie piękna oprawa graficzna i znakomity klimat. Ogólnie dla tych, co lubią marnować czas.
A great survival horror experience. The presentation was superb with strong art direction and incredible use of sound. Every step, jump, and fall sounded realistic. The voice acting was strong and was elevated by the distortions created by the Travelers’ helmets. Orphans were great enemies, pairing a grotesque human-alien aesthetic with highly responsive stagger animations. Although their variety was limited, their ability to merge made them engaging, evoking terror and suspense. This mechanic also ensured enemies continued to be threats even after their death. I think the game was at its best when it combined its sci-fi exploration mechanics with the combat, which, unfortunately, was solely during the final boss. Whilst competent and polished, the combat outside of that singular fight lacked innovation, leaving it feeling generic. The story and ending were good; however, I finished the game let down because it lacked answers to pertinent questions (namely
the origin of the infection and the true purpose of Travelers
). Whilst the progression system was generic, the setting and pacing were strong. The lore was intriguing, and I think Travelers have so much potential, even if it wasn’t fully captured here. Easy recommendation for anyone looking for a survival horror game, particularly if you want something like Dead Space. Such is our calling.
Impressed me. A whole lot actually. I was expecting a rip off of Dead Space and what I found was a extremely well crafted game that is inspired by Resident Evil and Dead Space but brings such a fresh twist on the genre while providing solid lore, characters, and story (and cats). Probably the most solid 8 out of 10 game I've ever played. If you get this on a solid deal? Totally worth it. If you buy it full price? Still pretty worth it for a solid 15-20 hour experience that provides good scares and solid combat.
