About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

Great 3rd person action horror game with some old style item management to boot! Played through on the normal difficulty and felt like it balance the challenge nicely. The early game was definitely survival horror-esque up until the midway mark where you get enough upgrades that makes it more feel like action horror. The story was pretty cool and the atmosphere and world of the game is engaging with both interesting logs from people and also voice messages. Combat feels similar to Resident Evil 4 in all the best ways. I will say though that some of the environmental upgrades you get aren't fleshed out in more interesting ways but doesn't detract from the experience. Going to enter some spoilers her:
I finished the game with one ending out of three, to get the true ending you have to play the whole game again on new game +, so be prepared if that's your thing. The new game+ mode doesn't bring anything new to the game, you're just replaying the same game with all your current gear, which feels a bit boring. Outside of that the sections of the game you go to are artisticly cool but also boring in the ways of horror tropes, as a sci fi game it couldn't have been a bit more imaginative, but i'm just being nitpicky. The only other thing i'll mention is that no new enemy types appear in the last 3rd of the game, and start to become a bit repetitive towards the end but not enough to make it boring luckily.
Lastly the game ran great, being it's an unreal engine game! barely any stuttering and never any stuttering during combat! Definitely recommend if you love modern horror games like resident evil 4 or resident evil requiem.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Still has garbage GPU power draw when turning on RT. My gpu draws around 270 - 277w in most games(even in Resident Evil Req with Path Tracing on) and this discount Dead Space draws at max 223w?? Fuc* these incompetent hacks of devs
them jump scares are very nice, we need a part two, it runs very good, one the more Darkest games i played so far
Story is really interesting. A lot is unsaid, but there are some cool underlying tones! Some people say the final boss is underwhelming but i enjoyed it!
This Might be the most underwhelmed I've been by a game, ever. Now Cronos is not a bad game not at all. I just had a lot of high expectations. The game looks great and there a lot of cool and horrifying visuals. But the gameplay just feels so bland and repetetive, I would also say that the game is too long for it's own good. I felt like things finally started to get interesting about 60% through the game, so remove some of the filler beforehand and I think that the game would have felt a lot better to play through. The foundation is great but the game really doesn't do anything else that well. it's more that there are a lot of small design issues or bad decisions that just keep stacking on top of eachother that hurt the experience. Basically I think that this game is worth getting if you think it looks like fun, but I really recommend that you watch some sort of review so that you have an idea of what to expect, unlike me. If you think that the game looks like fun then I do recommend that you buy it on a 50% sale or more (:
游戏背景,美术,恐怖感拉满。迫使我放生鼠标好几次QAQ,不过优化确实拉跨,掉帧严重。如果忽略优化问题感觉能到8/10这样。
Runs terrible for me with unpredictable stuttering on Medium graphics at 1920x1080. I set the framerate cap at 60fps, but stuttering still happens. The VSYNC option is this game is weird? It's not "ON/OFF", but you have to set an interval. I also noticed that changing anything related to framerate (VSYNC or cap) made the gameplay run even worse until I restarted; the menus were clearly still 60fps. The other disappointment is that my character has a voice. You play as a woman and she sounds a little as though she is impersonating Robocop. Just not what I expected, I thought I'd be a voice-less armor that just shoots monsters, but if I have to play as a voiced protagonist I'd have liked her to sound more normal. But just to be clear, this isn't a dealbreaker, the technical issues are the reason I am not recommending this game. I apologize for requesting the refund, but this was the most expensive game I purchased during this Summer Sale and it's the only one that doesn't work properly, so I just feel really bad about it.
If you don't have RTX50xx series, or GPU with more than 8GB of Vram, you will stutter, and you won't enjoy any of this game. Aside from performance, it's very buggy that breaking the game like getting stuck on a place you shouldn't be. Using stair and ended up stuck in standing animation pose on a stair and couldn't move. Using gravity boot and stutter and cause me to glitched inside the building. This game is super buggy, broken and terrible in performance.
8.5 out of 10 A fantastic horror game held back by a few frustrating design choices. Overall I had a great time with this game, That said I do believe this game could of EASILY have been a 10/10. To keep my complaints short and to the point, The lack of a map. I found the lack of map more frustrating than I found it to make the game more "Difficult". The lack of save points or suspend save was frustrating especially when I would be lost some where in the map and needed to stop playing but could NOT save. (not everyone can leave their pcs or console's running.) Another Annoyance was the Translation in the game. ESPECIALLY the hospital area. I found myself having to get within inches of a sign for it to translate eventually... The Boss fights I found to be a mixed bag. Several of them had mechanics that weren't communicated well. Forcing me to look up guides just to understand how I COULD actually beat them. Challenging bosses are GREAT but the solution should come from the game itself, not google. The gore at times was a bit over done and I do understand that was part of the process of this "virus" and I understand that was what the game was going for aesthetic wise but the sheer amount of blood, flesh, veins, vessels etc on the walls, floors and ceilings was definitely a bit too much overall to my liking. The voice acting and Motion capture acting. WHAT WAS THAT AT TIMES?! It went from pretty solid to OG RE1 Levels of bad acting and performances...left me a bit stunned and confused at times to how a new Triple A game could have this kind of BAD quality acting and performance. If they had put just a bit more effort into their overall performances I feel that would've made this game EASILY 10X BETTER! Last criticism/ SPOILER ALERT DO NOT READ PAST THIS POINT IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILERS! But Weronikas overall demise and ending. I hate that despite playing both outcomes theres not a SINGLE good ending for her. and made all the effort and some what emotional attachment i had to these characters feel like it was in vain with no pay off... So despite ALL of those criticisms. I had a LOT of fun. and I did find the story VERY intriguing and leaving me wanting to know more about what happens next. if they would fix all of those issues, then the next game would easily be something more special!
Highly recommended if you played dead space! 9/10
