🔫 SKILLFUL SHOOTING
In Critter Crossfire, landing the shot is up to YOU and your skill. Will you keep it safe and stick to direct line of sight, or will you go for insane trick shots to style on your opponent?
🧠 DEEP STRATEGY
Accuracy isn't the only thing that matters; strategy wins wars! Put your tactics to the test by positioning your units on the high-ground, securing the best sightlines and choosing the perfect items for any situation.
Power up your units by grabbing item boxes. Choose your items carefully to form powerful combinations and build your perfect loadout.
Flappy Gun - Shoot a flappy bird and flap to keep it in the air.
Gun Gun - A gun that shoots another gun. Aim your second shot from the skies.
Bounce Ammo - Ricochet your bullets off of obstacles to hit targets behind cover.
X-Ray Vision - See enemy units through obstacles to line up the perfect shot.
And many more!

Each map has a diverse and detailed 3D environment. The precise hitboxes on obstacles let you take your trick-shots to the next level. Master the unique level mechanics like conveyor belts and spinning gears.

A mysterious shadow creature is stirring up chaos among the critters!
Take on 16 campaign runs, each with their own unique gimmick. Make use of synergistic items to build the perfect loadout for the challenge.
Unlock new items and power up your critters to take on harder difficulties. Can you beat Monster Mode?

Good fun. There are interesting combinations you can run with the power ups and the unlocks are a nice touch to keep things fresh.
Good fun, the dev has done a great job. Lots of variety with weapons, perks and challenge runs. Just wish there were a few more levels available

this game is the kind of game that will blow up once a streamer shows it to a wider audience. it is a fun skill based x-com meets mario rabbids. don't think just buy it even amazing as a single player game. currently typing on a steamdeck touchscreen, do you know how good a game has to be to suffer this interface.
I love me a good tactics game when people stand on the squares and take turns hitting each other. I have tried various xcom like games (and the OG xcom) and never liked them. I saw this and thought to myself, aight, I'll give this one a go. I'm liking it. If I miss a shot, it's because I made a poor decision, but fortunately I am over time becoming more mind rich at making ideas. It feels SO much different since I have nobody but myself to blame. Upsides: Game is easy to pick up. You get a currency called shadow which you use to buy extra max hp (only 2 hp), discounts, and so on. You get shadow either when you beat a whole round (4 fights) !OR! if you die. I <3 that. Even if you get clobbered on a run you still get something toward a long-term goal. Challenges are four fights long. The game is VERY polished. It looks terrific. The ding sound is so satisfying. The little dance on kill is charming. Bummers: Rounds are 4 fights long. You'll hit the finish line often as your runs just start to get their legs. Some of the places you'll think, aha, I've found a good hiding place are actually neon kick me signs but you learn along the way. I feel like the game has potential to be very funny and wacky but that I have not quite unlocked it yet (it will take me a while since I am not experienced at these). STILL! I'm all in on this game. I'm hoping the dev expands on what feels like a nice game loop. Might see if I can get someone I know to try it out so I can get dunked on by them.
