The mechanics are incredible, and fighting is satisfying, but the world itself is boring. Building the ship is complex and the larger the ship, the harder and more satisfying it becomes to optimize. The game is still early access but the developers seem to be only focused on the ship building aspect of the game, and it's a shame if the decide not further work on the world. 10/10 for the ship building and fighting 4/10 for the world
I have reached Legendary Fame on Vanilla - Default Settings I really loved the Coop Aspect of this game. It was Loads of Fun. The destruction and repairing mechanics of the game are awesome. I highly recommend this game. Issues I Had: Replacing Dead Crew is Abnoxious. If 300 die, you have to sit around a station waiting for transport ships to replenish the people. Takes like an hour. The Automation Flight is Janky AF. They'll get stuck on anything and everything. Or just 180 for no reason at the worst time. And usually spend the majority of the fight trying to get around ship wrecks or astroids. Late game needs to be optimised.
COSMOTEER: STARSHIP ACHITECT&COMMANDER; what a massive learning curve this game just presents; first off; this is 100% not my type of game; nor in my wheel house of being somewhat decent at it xD what I will say is, I love a good ship, space, LOOT, fighting and otherthings; so I did put some hours in, THANKFULLY had my fav whom knows these games (picks up my major slack with ASS builds..) but through all the pain and pressure with space/sectors.. FLIGHT PATHS, it was fun, and we did attain LEGENDARY status on a vanilla run through campaign 8) as for content with story; its fun and doable; but for all those sectors, enemies, etc, it just feels clustered with enemies/npcs to then feeling baron; the bases are a great fight, until you get mobbed/over run or just instant killed by something; if its the base or maybe johny boy off screen with those nukes we did get to sector 16-18, was painful, fun, chaotic, but I would happily do it again if summonded for it. hope theres more content for story; wether its another sector/faction/boss or quest; the main issue was Wanting to build a bigger ship, building the bigger ship, needing ALL those crew, GOT all available crew and now we're waiting for transport ships; OR you move to the next sector and repeat... fun for a bit; but when we get hit with MASSIVE LAG due to a ship being 1000+ crew yeah, ahh, glad I only attempted duo campaign and not a 4man or more oh and FLIGHT PATHS? WHY CANT MY SHIP GO AROUND OR THROUGH THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ROID and manual control be ASS. but somehow better then whatever the ♥♥♥♥ that is SMALL, minor issues; the rest was great; spent way more hours then I expected and as I said, will probably go back just to loot and kill
Decent game, the horrors ive seen are uncomprehensible, the ships are massive while my tiny 5 pixel beasts go up against ships that take up entire solar systems. my ship went up against something that traumatised me for decades, UNTIL i made a ship so big that it took 3 build zones and has to be constantly manuevared from all 3 modules. 9000% lance dilation. 1500% lance amplification. absolute beast. then it got destroyed by a ship that takes up 100 blocks and is COVERED in shields. also REALLY laggy game with my current specs
They let you play the demo pretty deep to determine if you like the game. That was super helpful. Similar to stardew in that the loop constantly has you wanting more and to do the next thing.
好玩的咧 期待快点把更新路线里面的东西拉出来,我要狠狠品尝😋
Very well done. The game doesn't overwhelm you with a ton of tutorials right at the start. Instead, they are spread out as you discover more of the game, which is great because it inherently NEEDS them due to its complexity.
Many reviews focus on ship building, as it is the main focus (and it is a great shipbuilder) so I'll focus this review on another aspect, the fleet management and RTS elements. To get straight to the point, it's pretty fun (although not perfect), I would recommend if you have friends to play it with. Now getting more in depth, the fleet management is generally alright, your ships try their best to get there using the fastest route. Unfortunately, pathfinding is, to quote my friends, "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥". I agree with this, the pathfinding needs a major rework and is by far one of my biggest gripes with the game (The other is deck cannons, they are incredibly overpowered and overshadow every other weapon in the game). Notably, ships cannot detect objects in their way and will crash into them to get to where they need to go, even if that means they hit an asteroid and can no longer move, they will keep going. While I have been complaining so far, there are still many more things that make it good. You can have your ships customize attack angle for example, or set them to try to steer behind an enemy ship no matter where it turns (automated flanking essentially). You can even customize how your ships hang around each other, allowing you to hide your missile ships well behind your armor and shield monstrosities. The RTS I think is much better than the fleet management (Note, this is all from my pvp experience in the domination game mode). This is where combat really shines in this game. There are plenty of ways to approach enemies that work far better than just hit the vital spots, for example: If you have a ship that is hyper mobile, while fighting a ship that would annihilate it head on, you can flank to the thrusters to take them out, leaving them as just a sitting duck, or having a tanky ship that is slowly being worn down by a heavily armed foe, you can take out the weapons to buy more time and eventually stop their damage completely. There is much more than just targeting as well. I for example enjoy using fast ships to have faster response times against my friends attempting to take my points in domination mode. Another thing I enjoy is warping ships straight into a battle, or sending spy drones to see what your enemies spawn in, you can warp a wall of armor with a control room to buy time or distract enemies, build battery powered drones, construct minefields, make kamikaze ships to chunk down capital ships, and so so much more. If you have friends, enjoy creating ships and strategies, I highly recommend this for a great pvp ship builder/strategy RTS
