Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 22 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
More than ten years of development have shaped Coromon into a complete 30+ hour monster-taming RPG. Catch and train more than 120 Coromon, master strategic battles, and explore a handcrafted world packed with memorable places and details to discover.
Coromon Remastered optimizes the entire journey for PC, with a presentation designed for larger screens. Clearer menus and battle details make everything easier to understand at a glance, while mouse-hover information and quick battle actions make every interaction faster and more natural.
Your first day as a Battle Researcher for Lux Solis should've been straightforward, receive your first Coromon and begin investigating Velua’s six Titans. But when outsiders wielding an element unknown to science attack a laboratory, your assignment becomes something far more dangerous.
Travel through six distinct biomes, each with its own challenges and mysteries. Begin among the fields around Hayville, then journey to a thunderous city, through a haunted swamp, into a guarded desert palace, beneath a volcano, and across frozen mountains toward ancient ruins.
Between your main objectives, meet the people who call Velua home, help solve their problems, and leave the path for side quests, secrets, and minigames. Upgrade your Gauntlet to open blocked routes and reveal hidden items, then take to the water as even more of the world opens around you.
More than raw power! Build your Squad around Skills, Traits, and held items. Then adapt to entry hazards, weather, and status effects to outsmart any opponent you meet, whether it's a wild Coromon, rival Battle Researchers, or a mighty Titan.
Master a stamina-based battle system where every Skill costs energy. Spend too much and your Coromon will need to rest, giving its opponent an opening.
Hunt for rare Potent and Perfect Coromon. Their distinctive colors make them stand out, and they can earn additional bonus stat points which you can distribute yourself.
Evolve a Coromon for higher base stats, or keep it unevolved and enhance its Trait with additional or stronger effects.
As you track down each Titan, the scope of your mission grows. Every region brings a new crisis, an unexpected discovery, and another clue to the outsiders’ plans. Cross paths with new allies, survive dangerous expeditions, and venture into places no Battle Researcher was ever meant to reach.
As the pieces connect, you uncover a power capable of changing Velua’s natural order. And by the end of your journey, only one question matters: who, or what, is really in control?
Coromon lets you shape the adventure around the way you want to play.
Looking for a relaxed playthrough? Make shops and recovery more forgiving, or reduce the pressure of battle and focus on exploring Velua, building your squad and following the story.
Looking for higher stakes? Combine built-in Randomizer settings with configurable difficulty rules to change encounters, trainers, Skills, Traits, items, evolutions and even the order of the Titans.
Create the Battle Researcher you want to be with a wide selection of outfits, hairstyles, facial hair, headgear and colors.
Give your Coromon new looks with unlockable Skins earned through collecting, battles, side quests, minigames and other gameplay challenges.
Continue beyond the story in the endless Battle Dome, where Coromon Rush, Trainer Rush and Titan Rush challenge you to see how far your squad can go. Test your strategies against other players in ranked, casual or custom 3v3 and 6v6 battles.

Reviews
I really wish they'd given us the option out the gate to update or not. The overhaul/"remaster" is not to my liking in any way. I didn't pay for this remaster, I paid for the old experience. It lags something fierce. I should not need to minimize/reduce fullscreen to play the game that ran OK previously... I also prefer a silent protagonist that doesn't really respond, but that's a personal preference. It feels like they added more text? I just quit and uninstalled as soon as I jumped in to peek at the new update. Simpler is sometimes better. I DO appreciate accessibility features, that's ALWAYS important. But as it stands it is a schlog, over-developed and following Sun Haven levels of store bloat. I never enjoy secondary currency for in-game stores even if you can earn that in-game currency (right now its rate is too low to be worthwhile). You can disagree! But I cannot recommend it in its current state. I think devs really need to consider OPTIONAL updates. Especially in this economy when most people cannot afford newer consoles, can't upgrade, or how easily PC games can break because the software and hardware differs from machine to machine. If we can roll back updates as a baseline we can figure out and address what's wrong individually or submit for review for better fixes.

I love the 2D Pokémon games and this scratches that itch perfectly. Get it, especially on sale.

Coromon - Gotta Catch 'Em All?

Made by TRAGsoft and published by indie.io, you play as a young future battle researcher from Lux Solis — a global research society in the Velua region — in a 2D pixel-adventure and creature-collector game with RPG elements. On this thrilling adventure, you pursue the region's mysteries, meet quirky characters, and try to stop an impending disaster, with over 100 species available to collect. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3638044146

✧ Positive aspects ⇁

My first thought when I found this game was: is this a Pokémon rip-off? A blatantly copy? Are Nintendo ninjas come and take down this game? Of course not, but the inspiration is palpable of the old GBA Pokémon games. I spent hundred of hours playing Ruby, Emerald and Fire Red to glimpse the similarities, not saying it as something negative, just an example how that franchise made an own genre, and how that served as an inspiration for some fans to decide to make what they dreamed to see or experience. ➢ Phenomenal 2D pixelart. From the cute and chibi style the character has to a detailed world, full of animations, small decorations, good gradient of colors and illumination, this game becomes a please for the eyes. It's not an extremely and deep pixelart, with a strong signature, but it has the enough amount of details in it simplicity and depth to stand out from the rest. ➢ Catchy soundtrack. With a decent variety of songs, and most of them ostentatious with strong beats, it fits wonderful with the intention of the game. I personally liked them a lot, but I gotta admit a few of them remind me a lot of the 3rd Pokémon gen melodies, but with different tune. Maybe, a coincidence? Probably not but still great. ➢ Goodish gameplay. Even if this doesn't compare of what Pokémon is in terms of battle, and has few flaws it's still decently good. Enough variety of types, moves, and ways to defeat the enemy, so for a short adventure suffice. This game doesn't aim to turn into a competitive game, and doesn't suffer for a heavy RNG like Pokémon does, making the combats more fair, or some mechanics inside the game. Hoewer, this might be disappointed for veteran people in the genre if they come thinking to find a more elaborated system. ➢ Funny narrative. Although is just a simple and quirk story with an interesting plow twist, it's not groundbreaking (doesn't pretend it either), and that's totally fine. The intentions are clear: entertain with a comical story to connect the reasons of you as a battle researcher and add a little of spice, and it serve perfectly for younger audience as well. I know this might piss off some people that looks for something trascendental, but it's not like the Pokémon games has a great story either, it's a game usually target for kids. This doesn't mean I'm giving this higher points, the story is decently fine, that's it.

✧ Negative aspects ⇁

One part of me want to prise this game a lot for how charming it is, that I think all comes from the nostalgia given through the classic Pokémon vibes it has. However, it has some flaws I found annoying, either by the design, lacks of balance or some systems that might have been done better. Not sure why the intention behind of that design plannification, but I find them annoying. ➢ SP system. I half liked this, but I found it as a bad designs. One of the reasons in Pokémon you had a limited number of movements is to end a battle, if you allows a system were movements are infinite and your creatures can regenerate the points to use their moves, you are just worried in the turn you need to rechage those points, allowing infinite and loop combats, and defeating the struggling of a strategy with your skills and usage of them. ➢ Unbalanced type. Even if I found good some designs, the problem comes reaching endgame when you find a type neutral to every type, and deletes the whole meaning because you can caught and use them, and they are usually stronger than their normal versions. I found this very annoying, defeating the purpose of types strong/weak system, that was decently balanced at first. ➢ Awful double/triple combat. Apart of the unbalancing type, something that pissed me off is that they added double and even triple fights, but you play solo and there is no movements that affect multiple enemies, making them highly unfair. This mostly attach wild encounters, but I have no clue why at least does not have movements that affect more than one. Even tho it didn't make the combats hard, it was annoying nonetheless. ➢ Annoying puzzles. Some were good, and even interesting to solve, but others (Pawbury) were totally anti-intuitive and boring, that instead of using your logic forced you brute force solving it, or checking a solution online, others like the ones in the dungeon of Daduric were meh and burdersome for the quantity. Lacking in a balance in how to make them and how many. I think this game would be way better with half of them gone, and a couple made again from scratch. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3638044242

🏆Achievement hunting ⇁

Most of the achievements can be completed in one playthrough, being the rest relies mostly on repeat on a higher difficulty or finish the game with no deaths. A bit messy, but doable, However, there is a couple, especially one, that I find annoying: reaching a number of points on some minigames, that apart of boring weren't easy to complete. Maybe for you are easy, but with my skills it became a task that took me hours, and extremely boring. Although, if you need help this guide helped me flawlessly: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2869591515

▫ ◨ ▪ FINAL THOUGHTS ▪ ◧

This game without a doubt catchs the old-school classic Pokémon games theme, in particular the GBA releases, with his own unique proposal and with a great art to catch your eyes. I enjoyed the whole game, from the beginning to the end, and I felt in love with some designs (Eclyptor) and few were incredible (Skelatops). I think is a game that probably will please most of the people who will dare to play it, and frustrate some veterans of the genre that were thirsty for something great. Part of the combat designs were partially good partially disappointed, the endgame design a bit unappealing, and the game as a whole a contastly that it could be better. Maybe it's me having the standard too high or the game since the early development wasn't with the intention to be taken that seriously. In any case, I still find it solidly good enough for a good chunk of hours of enjoyement. With this said, and if are looking for a direct recommendation, my advice is wait for sales and look for outside stores. This game has been bundled a lot and find a cheap key is easy. So I guess I can summarize it to yes, try it. The worst it can happen is that you lost a couple of euros/dollars.
It's a retro monster-taming RPG. With only some exaggeration, you already know how it plays. To me it didn't feel particularly better or worse than a Pokemon game, but was different in a few interesting ways, and was enough for me to be looking forward to the developer's next game. Like, it's not the first monster-taming game I'd recommend, but it's not bad. (Well, technically it is the first I'm recommending because I didn't review the others, I guess.) It does have fewer types than the average monster game, especially counting only types that monsters can have (some types are skill-exclusive), but you don't really feel the difference much in gameplay, and it means each type can have more than a couple monsters. Also for some reason everything is mono-type. Not really a complaint, but just feels a little weird. Some things I liked: * The level curve feels fine, with minimal grinding needed as long as you're fighting trainers. * They provided a reason to think about not evolving your monsters. * There were a couple interesting challenges around the mid to late game. * Giving monsters 3-5 possible passive abilities sort of makes it feel like there are more monsters. * Some cool boss fights. * The "Skill Flashes" have unlimited uses. * When arranging your party, the cursor moves to the front of the party by default. * Field abilities aren't tied to monsters, although that's just standard now anyway. Some things I disliked: * It felt like there was a lot of backtracking to heal. Even though the checkpoint system helps, and you eventually get an unlimited-use teleportation device, it still felt somewhat tedious, especially around the electric area. Maybe I should've used more items to heal, but they're kinda expensive relative to what fights give. * Mandatory minigames, including a stealth segment. Sure, they provide variety, but they're not really what I'm here for. * The lack of trainer classes with visible type specialties makes lots of encounters feel very similar, although this isn't strictly negative because fighting teams with mons of different types on them is a little more interesting. * They seem to think the best thing about the old Pokemon games is that sometimes items could be invisible. You do get a scanner midway through the game, although the sparkle on detected items is pretty short. Then you get another scanner that digs up invisible items that only sell for money, which fortunately you can ignore completely.
i wanna like it, but the ui and text being all pixelated is off putting. i wanna see it clearly....and theres no options even with the "remaster".
Uma jogabilidade bem proxima dos pokemons de GBA com suas peculiaridades unicas, historia leve e divertida.
I really like this game. I'd recommend it except that it CONSTANTLY crashes. Autosave is nice but when you're mid-puzzle and it just crashes constantly it's impossible to play.
