CONTROL Ultimate Edition

I feel like this game is just kind of meh. It has a few really good aspects which are dragged down by some bad parts of the game, so for me it'd average around a 6/10. The highlights of this game are obviously the worldbuilding and level design. It's very similar to the SCP universe, which i absolutely love. It has paranormal objects, otherwordly entities, rooms that seem to have a mind of their own and an organization that oversees and contains them all. Slowly finding out about the many entities this world has to offer is always very cool, even more so when you encounter them in person. But that's where the positives end for me. The biggest issues i have with the game are the gameplay and the lack of character depth. The gameplay and combat is largely unoriginal and boring, and feels like a chore a lot of the time. Besides that, the game fails to really get you invested in any of the characters, which makes for a significantly less impactful story. If you can get it on a good sale and like SCP, then give it a go. But if you're looking for fun combat/gameplay or want to buy it for the full price, it's not worth it

Persistent softlock bug preventing me from beating the game, too far in to refund

I've played this game a few times now since it released in 2019. It just feels really good to play. The world is mysterious and full of intrigue. Progression is a chef's kiss. The amount of creativity and memorable writing in this game makes it one that sticks with the player long after rolling credits. The game often goes on sale for a deep discount. I've purchased it on sale across 3 platforms and on steam for 4 friends in hopes that the developers behind this continue to thrive. If you jive at all with the trailer, you wont regret spending time with this gripping work of art and love.

Very good game, was great on ps4 and now it runs at 165fps @ 1440p (upscaled) medium - low settings

Game breaking bug that was never fixed as I had already beaten the game and decided to finally do the dlc since theres another game on the way.Well now i am glad i dont preorder games because I wouldve had to request a refund.

The game itself isn't bad, I just didn't think it was worth the price. It has a decently interesting story, but the game mechanics are just ye old fantasy shooter story type stuff with pumped up graphics. If you can get it on sale, sure, try it, otherwise it's meh.
