About
Even though it's a single-player game, it feels like multiplayer?! In *"2D Platformer Date Action"!
Meet Socrates, your combat android. One day, his body ends up being shared with a mysterious dimensional girl named "Coneru"! They must navigate their new life, literally, together. Run, jump, punch, kick, laugh, cry, and maybe even take a detour or two on this quirky journey to save Shinjuku City from an alien invasion. This isn’t just 2D action―it's a "date"!
An odd and oddly cheerful alien group, the "Hateful Fruit Company," has begun its annoying invasion of peaceful Shinjuku City. Their motives? Unclear. But as you and Coneru progress through your action-packed date, the truth will unravel!
You melee attack with your weapon! Coneru attacks from a distance with "Conerun Beam"!
You attack with close-range weapons, while Coneru fires her "Conerun Beam" from afar! You get to choose your weapon, but Coneru’s beam depends on her mood! Sometimes she'll come up with new beams in the middle of your date, because that’s what makes dating fun, right? Sync up your moves and unleash powerful combo attacks to blow your enemies away!
When Coneru gets in a great mood after certain conditions are met, she enters *RunRun Mode*! With insane, game-breaking speed and power, will you be able to keep up with her explosive excitement?
As you battle through this action-packed date, Coneru reacts to everything around with her expressions. After all, this is a date! Why fight with a serious face when you can chat, smile, and slash enemies while laughing together?

In this game, your soul and Coneru’s, two beings from different dimensions, unite as one. Embark on a special date that you can only experience in this unique 2D action adventure. It’ll be a date you'll never forget!

Actually do not buy this game the difficulty spike on third boss is literally insane. The hitbox is way to big and doesn't make sense for the boss especially after you take down his defenses. His health is nowhere near the previous two and getting all the hp from the previous stages was nowhere near enough. The projectiles are way too fast and it doesn't make it any easier when you can only dash a little after you land. The projectiles are coming from offscreen making it impossible to dodge and if you want to get a different weapon? You have to start all the way back at the beginning of the game. Literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ design. Amazing visuals but the gameplay is stale, literally only like 4 enemy types you fight the whole game. I've played hard games I love a good challenge but this didn't feel like a challenge. It felt like a chore. And I'm not doing chores. Unless you want to walk around the first 3 levels and look at the art don't buy this game.

so cute
It's a fun game where the difficulty is similar to Kirby. Story is simple and sometimes can be hilarious. I enjoyed the RunRun mode the most, it's very fun to run around with high mobility and obliterate everything.
This game is really easy but that's the point; it's meant to be a fun and lighthearted romp where you just bulldose your enemies with an increasingly ridiculous array of overpowered abilities; you start out with kicking ricocheting emoticons at people but then you get the ability to smite foes with lightning or drop literal moons on them like Majora. If you eat enough donuts, you get Runrun, a Mario Super Star power up that temporarily makes you invincible and kill every enemy you touch but also lets you jump six million feet in the air. The game's ridiculous escalation of power almost feels like a roguelike. I think the game's biggest flaw is that the level design doesn't play to the gameplay's strengths. The gamefeel encourages bulldozing through a straight line but the levels keep asking you to explore to find manga for new attacks and lightning rods for stat boosts. What's more, levels routinely are covered in chunks of blocks that are completely optional to progression and can only be broken through with Runrun, which one would rather keep for the journey ahead. It divides the player's attention rather unnecessarily, especially with how levels basically need the map for you to navigate them because of their sameyness. All the same, I finished the game in five and a half hours and had a fun time with it. Meandering progression aside, it's an energetic romp and I think more games need this kind of bulldozing gamefeel.
Extremely cute and soulful game, but *very* basic. It's a very simple platformer with very simple controls, though you do unlock more abilities and such as you progress. Honestly, it feels like a "VideoGame.exe". I think it's best enjoyed as an "Action Date" experience with Coneru, which *is* one of the selling points of the game. None of the abilities you unlock in the game are meant to matter much and it's a very casual platformer overall. This is reinforced by the beams (secondary attack) changing according to Coneru's will and just being a thing completely out of your control. The game does have you replay through every stage two times, but I don't think that's as bad as it sounds because the stages do change completely every time, just the tilesets and themes (objectives) stay the same. It's also pretty short in general anyway, but paired with the simplistic gameplay, it may be too underwhelming for some. I don't think you can genuinely game over before the final boss. The game *does* stop pulling its punches during the final boss and the true final boss, and I think it gets pretty fun then (couldn't pay me to do these guys hitless, though). The story is also at its climax during the true final boss, making it the highest peak of this game. It's not that this game is story-heavy, but I think they did a great job making it truly feel like an "Action Date" with Coneru and her bond with Socrates is a simple but heartwarming story to watch, and it comfortably concludes during the final final fight. Great aesthetics, very cute characters, but maybe too weak on the gameplay-side.
