About

Both colonists and monsters can find their way in your world. Build bridges, tunnels, stairs, overpasses and underpasses to make sure your colonists get where they want to go, and monsters don't! Plant a banner to start your colony. As you recruit more colonists, more monsters will try to invade your colony! Build walls, dig moats and construct forts to deal with the increasing threat.

Use an extensive science system to unlock jobs, blocks, upgrades and new weapons! Your colony will start in the Stone Age with just a handful of primitive jobs. Produce new materials, study clay tablets and scrolls, sell luxury items and advance throughout the timeline. Ultimately, you will be able to unlock gunpowder weapons, gliders, printing presses, rails and much more!

Advancing the tech tree requires resources that are only present in special locations. Purchase the resources in the marketplace for a high price, or find those locations using the astrolabe and build your own outposts on mountaintops, in swamps and other places. Use gliders and rails to move quickly from one location to another.

Easily launch a co-op server from the main menu, and invite friends to join your world. Share ownership of a single colony with multiple friends, or build your own colonies and trade items and science. It's also possible to use our advanced server tool to set up a more complex system. Extensive mod support allows players to customize their experience exactly as they want.

We regularly release fixes, improvements, tweaks and content updates. Here a couple of highlights from many, many changelogs:
June 16, 2017: 0.1.15. Public release. Contained a handful of jobs and items.
October 31, 2017: 0.4.0. Lots of new items, new guards and new monsters.
March 23, 2018: 0.6.0. New builder and digger jobs, increased view range, crouching, big performance improvements.
July 26, 2019: 0.7.0. Co-op, new world generation, multiple colonies, trading, the glider and lots of bug fixes and performance improvements.
May 11, 2020: 0.7.3. Added a statistics menu which tracks and displays data from a broad range of categories.
December 21, 2022: 0.9.0. Massive overhaul of the tech tree and world generation, lots of new content like traps and outposts.
October 13, 2023: 0.10.0. Added rails and decorative items like roofs, doors, windows and pillars.
February 16, 2024: 0.10.1. Water transparency, better fog and lighting improvements.
How can you not love this game
Building is easily on par with most voxel sandbox games based on cubes. The game is very simple to understand (if somehow the game confuses you, you must have the learning comprehension of a sloth). Controls are very simple. Id argue its one of those games that need no tutorial clicking things is the easiest way to learn and simply reading UI. The gameplay loop is very simple but very addicting. Craft, Build, Manage ~ Repeat it sounds boring but the stuff you build matters. Build Defenses, houses, farms and all the other things for your colonist to manage and start producing items on their own. Automate via colonists and just be creative. Defenses matter since monsters attack at night so you got the strategic side of the game where you want to isolate yourself best you can from the monsters. Also has Coop and lets you build with friends or live in separate colonies and trade with each other. Make sprawling cities with beautiful landscapes. If you like building and Automation style games this is a easy recommend.

I watched this game back in like 2020 from Spycakes and then stopped watching him and the game forgot about it until the youtuber I watch started playing it again recently then all the video that I watched 6 years ago came back and then I was like I have to buy it and It was probably the best 21 quid I have ever spent by just the excitement it game me when I was a kid 6 Years ago

It's a solid game for the first few colonies once you get the hang of building resource chains, and threat management. after about 10 hours of playtime the grind is ever present if its not "monsters" its the colony points. Monster pathing needs work no matter what maze you can build to path them around your settlement if its to long they just spawn on your colonist beds it seems like.
for a game that has been in early access since 2017, it's only v 0.16. It tries very hard to not be a bootleg Minecraft, and yet that's the only thing i feel when i play it; I'd rather just play minecraft because it's much easier to understand. Multiplayer is garbage. Overall i'd say it's dogwater for a game that's been in development for almost a decade. I'd maybe buy this for 5 bucks, but 25 dollars is WAY too much for something like this. Refunded, and I doubt this game will actually be finished. Also the community is toxic

There is a strict contentment I have with this game. Its incredibly satisfying combining Tower Defense, Tycoon, and Minecraft-Like elements. I look forward to the additions the dev team will add to this gem. I HIGHLY recommend if you like managing little dudes, planning defense, and building. Even without future versions up and coming, I found it a complete experience.
Why is this game so recommended and positively reviewed? When you start the game the tutorial tells you the first step is to place a banner down where you want your colony to be. It is the most basic fundamental step of the game to start playing it. So of course it is the easiest and most earned achievement in the game... with 49% of players. 51% of players at the time of me writing this haven't even placed the banner you start with to begin their colony apparently and frankly I can see why but the reviews don't really reflect that at all???
