What Cold Vengeance lacks in polish, it makes up for with creativity and charm. If you're into games about shooting, the enemy and level design make for some really fun moments and surprises. The camera does have quite a few issues however, it frequently gets stuck in objects and will occasionally change sensitivity mid game. I'd recommend it to anyone who can look past a few polish issues and wants to have fun shooting things

It's like a brain aneurysm... only fun. old fashion fun arcade game with the cheap thrills and constant cheating. If this were coin-op I'd be broke.
Cold Vengeance is an unapologetically old-school action shooter developed and published by Renegade Sector Games, built around the kind of outrageous storytelling and nonstop combat that defined many arcade-inspired games of the 1990s. Instead of aiming for realism, it delivers a wildly exaggerated alternate history where Canada has transformed into a ruthless military superpower, joining forces with a mysterious Ninja Empire to conquer the United States and capture its president. The setup is intentionally absurd, but it establishes the game's playful identity from the very beginning. Rather than pretending to be a serious military drama, Cold Vengeance embraces its larger-than-life premise and uses it as the foundation for an energetic adventure packed with explosions, impossible odds, and relentless action. Players take control of Sgt. Jon Dagger, an elite soldier assigned to rescue the kidnapped president and dismantle the invading forces. His journey becomes even stranger thanks to the presence of a former Soviet engineer whose consciousness has been digitally implanted into Dagger's mind. This unusual partnership gives the campaign an entertaining twist and reinforces the game's commitment to unconventional science fiction. Although the narrative mainly serves as a vehicle for moving players through increasingly dangerous locations, it injects enough personality and humor into the experience to make the campaign memorable beyond its firefights. The gameplay focuses on classic third-person run-and-gun mechanics where speed, precision, and constant movement are essential for survival. Each stage introduces a wide assortment of enemies, ranging from heavily armed soldiers and towering combat machines to agile ninjas, ruthless raiders, and even dinosaurs. This unusual combination of opponents ensures that encounters rarely feel repetitive, with every level presenting new threats that demand quick reactions and adaptable strategies. Combat is intentionally fast and challenging, rewarding players who master movement, learn enemy attack patterns, and maintain an aggressive pace instead of relying on cover-based tactics. One of the game's strongest features is its commitment to replayability. Rather than offering straightforward linear corridors, many stages include branching routes, hidden secrets, and alternate paths that encourage exploration. Players willing to search every corner can discover additional rewards while improving their understanding of each environment. The arcade-inspired scoring system further motivates repeat playthroughs, making each run an opportunity to perform better than before. This emphasis on mastery captures the spirit of classic action games where skill improvement becomes just as satisfying as completing the campaign itself. Visually, Cold Vengeance proudly adopts a retro aesthetic that resembles the early era of fully 3D console shooters. Character models, environments, and effects intentionally reflect that nostalgic style instead of competing with modern graphical standards. While the presentation may appear dated to players accustomed to contemporary visuals, it effectively complements the game's throwback philosophy. The soundtrack and sound effects also contribute to the energetic atmosphere, supporting every firefight with music that maintains a high level of intensity and reinforces the over-the-top action movie inspiration behind the experience. The game's greatest strength lies in its confidence. It never hesitates to combine ridiculous storytelling, exaggerated characters, futuristic technology, and explosive combat into one cohesive package. At the same time, its dedication to old-school design means players should expect a genuine challenge. Limited hand-holding, demanding enemy encounters, and a focus on mechanical skill may discourage those seeking a more casual shooter. However, for players who appreciate classic arcade action and are willing to overcome its difficulty, the sense of accomplishment is rewarding. Cold Vengeance succeeds by remaining faithful to its creative vision. It delivers an entertaining blend of retro gameplay, absurd storytelling, diverse enemy encounters, and replay-focused level design without attempting to imitate modern cinematic shooters. Its nostalgic presentation and intentionally outrageous premise give it a distinctive personality that separates it from countless military action games. While its old-school mechanics and challenging difficulty may not appeal to everyone, fans of classic run-and-gun shooters will likely appreciate its commitment to fast-paced gameplay and unapologetic style. good ♥♥♥♥, like space harrier but you can't fly lol
Mouse sensitivity for this game is not adjustable enough, as a result of which hi-res mice are basically unusable.
Excellent little run and gunner! Reminds me a lot of the game Millennium Soldier: Expendable
An on-rails shooter masquerading as a run-and-gun. Well, I guess you're also running-and-gunning? I'm not really sure if there's a distinction there but you can't turn the camera behind you, which is my single problem with this game. Other than that, it's a great time and a brightly colored shooter in a style you don't often see.
无中可玩,鼓励性好评吧,在包货里推荐入库,不过目前单买价格也还行。 202408,steam,steam掉卡抵扣,它处自定义包入的本体约5元。爱人如己,目前就这,看以后追评。
