Feeling like Jennifer Connelly in the movie Phenomena It's a yes.
I got robbed of the A rank because I picked up the ham.
This has easily become my favourite horror game of all time and I am really hoping for a remake, or ports of the other games (and Haunting Ground, Capcom please!) because the series desperately needs more love. The atmosphere, the music, the general sense of dread hanging over you as you guide Jennifer through the disorienting mansion corridors, followed by the sting of Scissorman's arrival and the subsequent rush of being chased and trying to find a hiding place in time... the satisfaction of finally puzzling things together, how little things can change on every playthrough and how your actions can shape which endings you get... it all contributes to a really unforgettable horror experience that just hits differently when compared to how soulless and by the numbers some games can feel nowadays. I will say you do need a certain level of patience to fully enjoy this, and you need to go into it with the perspective of looking at the game from a historical lens to see how far the survival horror genre has come. If you can tolerate the archaic quirks, the lack of quality of life features (our dear Jennifer moves veeery slowly when interacting with the environment, for example) and love retro games, there is so much to enjoy here. Just don't be shy about using a guide, because it's easy to get lost and/or mess up, and some of the puzzle solutions and item locations can be pretty cryptic. This game will not hold your hand.
The pop-up issue is STILL THERE! Absolutely unacceptable! And for a game that came out originally in 1995 with SNES mouse support, the mouse is sensitive as hell and unusable, I didn't see any options menu in game to change the sensitivity at all. As someone who 100% the PS1 First Fear Edition I am thoroughly disappointed.
Bom pra caralho, mas eu queria um remake ainda, seria muito daora de bão :D
Clock Tower is noteworthy as one of the few horror games made before Resident Evil that is actually worth playing. If you don't believe me, feel free to try out Alone in the Dark (the second one is especially bad), War of the Dead, or total junk like Overblood. However, one difference you will notice immediately is that rather than being action or survival-focused, the original Clock Tower uses point and click gameplay. As a result, the game can feel rather slow, with long stretches of nothing happening. While subsequent games would speed things up quite a bit, the first game probably still holds up the best, thanks to the well drawn 2D graphics and lack of terrible voice acting. Rewind includes two main modes: the original game, which as far as I know is the same as the SFC original, and rewind mode, which throws in a bunch of extra content from the playstation port as well as new rooms, puzzles, and chase sequences. There are also a few appreciated fixes, like finally being able to run while being chased on stairs! There seem to have been a few bugs when the game released but everything runs fine now from what I can tell. There are a few annoyances, like not being able to use the mouse on all the menu screens, or achievement popups, but unless you have a Japanese super nintendo or playstation with a working mouse peripheral lying around, this is probably the best way to play this game.

Clock Tower: Rewind is an incredible tribute to the beloved classic! As someone who first discovered the game through an emulator, I was genuinely excited to see how it enhances the original with captivating cutscenes, voice acting, and content that was previously left out. The opening scene with the girls in the parlor sets a wonderfully chilling atmosphere, and the expertly timed jump scares will keep players on their toes. The rich storyline, full of lore and character development, is truly remarkable, especially considering its origins as a 16-bit game for the Super Famicom. Exploring each ending truly enhances the experience, making it even more captivating and immersive. In summary, Clock Tower: Rewind brilliantly merges nostalgia with innovative elements, creating a heart-pounding survival horror adventure for both newcomers and longtime fans. If you enjoy spine-tingling experiences, this game is an absolute must-try!
