Really fun game! The music, gameplay, and simplicity all mix extremely well. Very addicting trying to beat your top score. The layers on top of each level are fun to discover too.

This review is being posted during early access and some things may have changed. With that out of the way, I loved Clock and Dasher. The base game is short and while I had some trouble with a few levels, even with getting 100%, the game isn't overly difficult. However, if you collect all the gems in a level, you unlock hard mode levels. There is a hard mode level for each level in normal mode, effectively doubling the size of the game. Additionally, the hard mode levels are legitimately difficult and gave me much more trouble than the normal variants. Finally, the game has in-game leader-boards for each level and chapter, which are split between any% and 100%. The community is pretty active and some of the level times are insane. All in all, if you are interested in precision-platforms, Cloak and Dasher is a good entry point for the genre.
I played the open beta today and OMG it was so much fun. I still have the last chapter to do but my hands said no more. I just wish they had 1600 x 900 windowed mode or be able to grab a corner to resize. That is my only complaint.
Im terrible at platformers. Even worst at precision platformers. Yet, i want to keep playing this game. Great music that doesn't distract but add to game feel, quick and easy UI navigation, and challenging gameplay. Along side with a focus on speedrunning, and/or collecting gems for even better scores, you'll find your personal challenge and way you want to play. At its price, with monthly level added, and constant discussion with the community, i do recommend.
No me esperaba mucho y me ha sorprendido gratamente. Lo que he probado tiene muy buena pinta y el juego cumple lo prometido. Esperando futuras actualizaciones para seguir disfrutando de nuevos niveles y mejoras!
Very interesting game with a simple, yet challenging gameplay. Played it during the RetroWorld Expo at CT Convention Center in 2019 and enjoyed it. Judging by the simple assets used to build the levels I can see him making some sort of level designer for players to make their own levels and submitting them for everyone to enjoy. Another idea I thought of was to make longer levels for a more immersive experience. What I mean is some levels will be like all in one screen and some levels can be bigger off-screen, like in The Binding of Issac: Rebirth where some levels were one square, four squares to make one gigantic square room, or a vertical/horizontal rectangle. This is the best way I can describe this I get my point out clearly. Again, these are just ideas I'm just throwing out so take them with a grain of salt as I know some people might not agree with them and that's fine. As someone who wishes to be a game developer I try to see things in the eyes of a game developer. Hope this helps the developer make the game even better and I hope those who purchase and play this game enjoy it for what it has to offer now.
This is definitely a game you have to pick up, the movement is smooth, the puzzles are satisfying and the music is top notch! Overall a pretty solid game! Can't wait to see more!
