It's a good game don't get me wrong. It's just a general downgrade from It's predecessors. There's very few leaders, the creativity and amount of premade units has been reduced by a lot in favor of the unit creators with which you can make such busted units that the few premade ones are basically useless. If you want to play a Circle Empires 2, play Circle Empires Rivals. It has the same amount of interesting and unique units as the first game with multiplayer options, more gamemodes etc. Circle Empires 2 basically took all the features of the Circle Empires games that came before it and executed them a lot worse. Again not saying it's a bad game but I just enjoy the other ones more
Update: I have a sneaking feeling that they ready my review and then updated the game to fix my few complaints. The latest update has dramatically improved the game with more buildings, shops, mercenary camps, etc. You can hire max level mercenaries from merc camps, and now there is a mount that makes leveling a certain character easier. I am very impressed and pleased with the most recent changes and I am very excited to see what else they come up with. Overall, I think its an improvement over Circle Empires Rivals. The new art style is more distinct in my opinion. Although both Rivals and CE II are great. I love that you can create your own units and mix and match. The customization of units is definitely the best part of this game and it is a great addition. The heroes/factions also offer even more unique playstyles than a lot of the Rivals heroes. And the AI seems more intelligent. However, my only real complaints are: 1: that building up an economy feels slower in CE II than CE Rivals. 2: There are less buildings you can place in your circle with less interesting effects. 3: Leveling up units is much much slower than CE Rivals and so I often never have level 2 or 3 units in my army at all, even if I am very careful to not lose any units. Still recommend it, but I am looking forward to seeing any updates that may happen in the future.
为什么不能让玩家有办法自己编辑地图?而是永远随机?战斗的安排也可以更好的
Not for me.
The gameplay loop feels too similar with every commander.
Units are placed haphazardly; in battle, it’s impossible to tell who’s where; the sheer number and scale of the effects are so overwhelming that I can’t see my own units and have no idea where the enemy units are during combat; the circle placement system has been made worse—they’ve added a grid with very little space; the addition of a unit editor is interesting, but it’s been implemented in a terribly clunky way, and the selection of buffs is just nonsense. In the creation menu, buildings and units are on the same tab, which makes the gameplay process inconvenient. Regarding battle speed, if you lower the game speed, the FPS just drops—it’s annoying and unpleasant. Why is this game worse than previous installments in terms of optimization and playability? I’m happy to see new models and new units, but the quality of the work feels like an unfinished game in open beta. I’d gladly buy the game today and just wait for updates, but it’s simply uncomfortable to play compared to previous installments—someone really botched it. I’m disappointed.
更新内容不错,但是a地板逻辑还有隔墙野怪没有仇恨这些bug要改改;6射程以上的兵还是谨慎出比较好
I've played the previous games and honestly don't understand why most of the negative comments are complaining. The new changes are obvious, and amazing. This game has a UNIT CUSTOMIZER.. how cool is that? The game and animations are a step above the last games and for that base price, it is a steal. So don't listen to those whiny people and give it a try. It is really an improvement and a lot of fun!
The first Circle Empires is an amazing game. It has a huge variety of monsters, and every match feels different, so there's always a new experience. The game is packed with content and never gets boring. I waited a long time for Circle Empires 2, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. In my opinion, it's a downgraded version of the original rather than an improvement. Save your money and play the first game instead. The sequel isn't worth the price, and for fans of the original, it feels like an insult to what made the first game so great. What a disappointment. Mi recomendación es que ahorren su dinero y jueguen al primero. El segundo no justifica su precio y, para quienes disfrutamos del original, resulta casi una ofensa al legado de esa primera creación. Qué decepción.
