Had potential but I think the dev robbed us, took the money and left: updates are non-existent and if they do come they are mostly minor things just to bump the last-update messages. In its current state, it is unfinished, shallow and unplayable; definitely had potential, definitely doesn't deserve to be called a successor to Capitalism

Edit Dec 2022 - changed review to thumbs down. No communication from Dev on lack of updates. Threw my money behind this dev, if only for the dream of economic simulators being reborn. Let's see if they can bring the level closer to Capitalism Lab (CL)! Very smooth and easy to use features compared to CL, ability to have multiple windows open at once is superb (I know sounds like 1998)! This is much more digestible for a new crowd coming into the genre. There are definitely many more features and systems that could be added, I really hope the dev keeps up the work and brings us a modern CL.

No update for over a year. So the game is probably finished, even though it's not finished... -.-

it's abandoned don't recommend to buy it

Don't get me wrong, the game is fine. I picked it up on sale, and it scratched the itch for a bit. My main problem with it is that it's abandoned seemingly. I wanted more from a full release. I hope the developer picks it up and patches it or at least takes it out of EA and reduces the price accordingly.

This game is like a spiritual successor to the Capitalism game series, it's not as developed as Capitalism Lab and is missing some features, but it's a great base for further development. The solo developer is actively updating the game and listening to feedback.

very fun, still would recommend, but i still feel that capitalism lab is a much more effective economic simulation. There are a just a number of things missing from this game, such as real estate ownership, media companies, internet companies, etc. My BIGGEST complaint is completely losing control over the day-to-day of a company when you pass it off to a CEO. I can understand why this is being done, but i don't agree with it. I'm still the chairman, i should have the ability to continue directly influencing and changing aspects of the company, as well as being able to control the buildings. Passing your company off to a CEO is a surefire way to grow massively, quickly, but it also leaves you as a company-less investor, which is not fun. I don't want to HAVE to keep making companies to feel like there is a game to play. I want to be able to operate as chairman of multiple companies while letting the day-to-day of it all be in the hands of CEOs. I want to be able to tell a company that is under me to start researching and manufacturing new products. overall, i would still recommend it, but it's definitely an early access econ sim. The bones are there to make a fantastic econ sim, but right now it's just the bones. no macroeconomic sim, no inflation, no company controlled financing outside of bonds, no real estate, no PURCHASING LAND????
