fun game pretty hard needs more work or updates but overall good game
good game
Nice and cosy Game. Makes a fun and is great for a short break.
Fun concept and not very challenging - pretty limited as it is, some level perks/augmentations to add unique challenges to each map would be nice as. Would be nice to see a preview to where the path will move before you place a new tower on it. There is a lot of different maps and a campaign to work through that I think justifies the price tag, but I quickly found the game play repetitive.
As for someone who enjoys TD games, finding this from a content creator was definitely a great find. I was personally able to complete the game in under six hours. Its fun, and quirky in its own way. I would certainly recommend purchasing this and trying the game out if you enjoy TD games. I think the game mechanic of it being a TD game is great. However I do believe it requires additional content to further enhance the game. I do enjoy the difficult start of the campaign, though the difficulty scaling is not there in my opinion. As once you get to a certain point, the games difficulty plummets entirely. I wish the difficulty scaling throughout the campaign was there. I think that personally would've been nice. Maybe bigger maps, more points to defend, even more difficult enemies. As for how the blocks are placed, I do enjoy the restrictions that are in place. I think it limits the player enough that they have to find alternative means of defending the center point. With that being said, I also enjoy how the differences in the blocks currently in the game. How some benefit from certain requirements. This will also require the player to think strategically to further benefit from each block placed. If there were more blocks, and tokens to fiddle around with. I think it further increase the strategic ways of playing the game. I'm not one to judge a game by its soundtracks, or the audio. But I do enjoy that aspect of the game. Though, no further comment will be made All in all, I do not see myself playing this game again in the mere future though. As the replayability just is not there for me. I think for it being $12 USD is undoubtedly a steal. If you're looking for a game that is simple, and looking to pass some time, I would absolutely check Castle Constructor out.
My screen doesn't fit the last upgrades of the tech tree. Even if I change the display settings to the smallest possible before the graphics start freaking out, I am unable to view those upgrades. I really like the game, but I can't really play if I have to trial and error my way through the final portions of it. Edit: Sorry it took me this long to fix my review, I was busy procrastinating. Anyway, yeah, the issue is fixed now. You should buy the game, it's otherwise excellent.
Tutorial doesn't explain basics, so it's impossible to know what you're supposed to do to get the suitable upgrades. It seems simple and fun. It's not when you get stuck because you don't learn the basics. Also, upgrades are randomized, so it's too easy picking the wrong option, which will doom the rest of your round. I tried several different strategies as well as starts and failed when the keep never seemed to upgrade. Waste of an afternoon. Stay away unless you like losing. And before someone says git gud, my impression from other comments on the game is that you're either "lucky" and find the winning strategy immediately and the rest of the game is too easy, or you're unlucky and lose over and over for hours. I don't mind losing. I mind losing when a mechanic I was shown at the tutorial fails to show up for the rest of the game and this consistently makes me lose.
good game, with lots of potential to make it one of the best tower defence game
