Picked up this in Early Access, accepted it was still in early access, dropped it and came back again at V1.0 Yeah pretty happy with this. We have a low poly tower defence semi deck builder game of yeeting your enemies off the side of towers. The Dev team seems to be two people so a degree of slack needs to be cut for some of the minor issues. These are stuff like that despite successfully completing the campaign I still have no solid idea on the rules for increasing the height of the main keep, some camera angles being a bit... confusing and play balance in the campaign. These are some criticisms but not like the Devs have some $300 million budget to ensure the bicycle riding mission works perfectly. (wouldn't mind a reply function so you can actual study how the enemy is pathing their attacks. That would be nice.) Rounds consist of taking your new allotment of tiles and adding to your castle before pressing the 'fight' button. There are a few perks and abilities you can use to micro but most of it is auto-battler. Defeat round and back to build phase. Repeat till final wave. Tis Tower Defence. You know the basics :) Three game mods: Campaign is the sort where you take small missions, get loot for the tech tree and new tiles for the 'deck building' and repeat with slightly bigger missions until you unlock the final. I have finished this. Had fun, although while some of the early missions can be tricky due to the random nature of the 'deck', once I got past a few tech tree upgrades and unlocked a couple of the tiles I had no issues. Either I am secretly already an expert at this game (LOL) or I are on the wrong side of the challenge bell curve. Some of the campaign missions seem to end just as you are getting your castle looking awesome, so again play balance tweaking. There is an editor mode where you have complete freedom to build your own mission. Fully unlocked from the start. Dipped into that a bit but the quick look around seemed completely functional. Finally there is the Endless Mode. Not gotten that far with this as yet. Different from the campaign in that you fight a mission, gain reward coins and then use them to buy tiles for the next mission from a semi random market. So there you go. Build Towers. Defend. Repeat. Enjoy.
Pretty good game. I tried the demo, for a few hours, then bought the game. put in another 4-5 hours. The building in pretty open, so you can come up with many different tactics to complete the levels. I never felt like i was trapped into one way to finish, the game. give it a try, its worth the $12. I nominated this game for a sit back and relax award. Good Luck!
peasants try invade my ponyfarm? i kill peasant with huge sharpened cuttlery peasant bring friend? problm
This is a very creative TD game. It lacks some polish and could use some more features and a longer campaign, but I got 10 hrs of play out of it for 10 dollars, so I feel it was worth while. Though this game could use a bit more polish, I hope that it opens up a new trend in TD games. The building-up hex-based castle works very well and adds a new dimension to TD. One thing that is really needed is more camera control. You can either look overhead which is terrible, or only at a slight angle from horizontal, which makes it hard to see. Since this is a 3D game, I don't see any reason why there cannot be a camera control for tilting. Some of the descriptions for tiles are a bit unclear, but you can figure out what they do by playing.
good campaign, good replayability in endless mode, decent challenge. Not to easy, not too hard. Worth the money imo
Meine Burgbau-Wertung: 60/100.
It's fun for the first couple of hours, but it is not something I see myself playing for a long time.
If you ever just wanted to build castles to test their defenses, then this is a simple game that can easily become complex with long term tactics and planning needed.
This game is a fun little time burner that gets you thinking about strategy. By strategy, I mean minmaxxing your archers until they are essentially machine gun nests. Once you get arrow slits making your walls short range archer towers, its just over. Would definitely recommend, ask any questions you may have and I will try my best to answer.
