My name is Alex, I am from Belarus! I am making hardcore letsplay videos handsfree (using only my chin). I have a program that allows to assign keyboard controls to mouse movements. I played your game, it's very good, I liked it. See my video playing your game without hands here: https://youtu.be/rJhoK2GFU-w
should have spent my $6.49CAD elsewhere..... honestly if I paid any more than that I would be getting a refund... lol
=) https://youtu.be/lNT9sWUk-BE
https://youtu.be/pGEI6hak2hA A lone pilot nearly crash lands on a unknown planet but luckily pulls up at the last moment and regains control of his magic world rotating ship. Combat in DOGOS is low impact by rewarding players for spamming shots and the lack of hit confirmation makes enemies feel like bullet sponges. The ground targeted attacks are especially ineffectual. Rotating the world is an interesting take on the twin stick shooter, however the effect results in more confusion by going against the grain instead of highlighting any improvements over the norm.
Very fast paced, very well executed for an indie studio. As a PC only gamer I am always a bit hesitant with games that are best played with an analog stick but this is the closest thing to a PC feeling game meant for a console controller I have ever played.. It's fast, it's unforgiving and it's awesome. 5 stars all around!
Possibly the worst mouse controls I've seen in a game. Instead of turning your ship, moving the mouse left or right accelerates your turning in that direction, meaning you need to move the mouse in the opposite direction to stop turning... May try it again someday with a controller as it otherwise looked promising.
The video below features 'first hand' gameplay experience of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hUYLhwwUvk My Thoughts: What makes this shoot-em-up stand out from the rest is the freedom of movement. Requiere mucho entrenamiento.
I am writing this review because I care: The game has potential! BUT 1. It's controls are horrible. You use mouse to rotate but it isn't directly mapped to rotation angle. It's like turning a driving wheel. If you move mouse right, the ship will turn infinitely right until you turn left to make it stop spining. The obvious fix is to make the mouse directly maped to aiming, and not a driving-wheel style infinite-turning randomly. 2. Impossible to enter Options during gameplay, so I can't config control without re-starting the game If the dev fixes this, I'll change my review.
