Welcome to New Wirral, a remote island inhabited by strange creatures you’ve only dreamed of, nightmares you hopefully haven’t, and a cast of brave folks who use cassette tapes to transform for battle. To find a way home you’ll need to explore every inch of the island, and record monsters to your trusty cassette tapes to gain their abilities!
Faced with the constant threat of monster attacks, the residents of Harbourtown, New Wirral choose to fight fire with fire. Record a monster to tape, then play it back to take on its form for battle!
Getting close to your companion has benefits–while transformed you can combine your strengths to gain the upper hand in battle! Any two monster forms can be fused to produce unique, fully-animated new fusion forms.
Certain monster abilities can be used in human form. You’ll need these to help you get around, solve puzzles, and locate dungeons. Glide, fly, swim, climb, dash, or turn magnetic! Take on the Gauntlet – a never-ending battle mode where you’ll face fearsome enemies for precious material and glory!

Never fight alone! Form bonds, spend time together, and help your selected partner complete personal goals to become a better team. The strength of your relationship determines how well you’re able to fuse!

Cute, fun, a little shallow but still well worth it imo
Pokemon should learn from this game.
I know a lot of people would jokingly say "it's like Pokemon if it was good," but that's kind of what's going on here. Lots of fun little creatures to collect, secrets, puzzles, a fun atmosphere, appropriately great soundtrack, creative setting, interesting characters... what more could you want? It felt a bit short, but based on my play time, I suppose it really only FELT short, and luckily there's a lot of options to tweak further playthroughs, including totally randomizing everything (if that's your thing). Honestly, I couldn't recommend it enough, it's a great time!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

O jogo é excelente!
I wish I knew about this before, such an awesome game
虽说有些设计还挺有创意,但是生物收集游戏怎么能无聊成这样
I was noticing how insane it is that this game only has 6,000 reviews, then I realized I myself had not reviewed. This game is absurdly good. Without naming names, if you find yourself dissatisfied with the state of other monster catching franchises, this game is far and away the best answer to that fatigue. The style is impeccable the gameplay mechanics familiar but entirely fresh, capturing the charm of pixel animation with incredible updates to make the graphics pop in modern times. The characters are all so fun and memorable and the game encourages you to spend time with each one leading to not only benefits in battle, but a genuine attachment to the characters and their arcs. The music is also still so incredible, the main battle theme is still an all time top 5 for me. Add to this an absolutely seamless multiplayer experience and you get a game that will outshine anything else in this category for a long time to come.
Da grandissimo fan del famoso brand di mostri collezionabili, non vedevo l'ora di giocare a cassette beasts per provare qualcosa di diverso. storia interessante, mostri belli o comunque simpatici, la gimmick delle fusioni non male. Consiglio!!
Very good twist on the monster-catching genre, with a lot of good ideas: - 2-on-2 as default format, interesting buffs/debuffs and plenty of support moves give more interesting tactical choices - Fusion mechanic and debuffs for type advantages bring an additional depth to fights - Nice music (with kudos to voice track addition during fusion activation in combat) - Non-linear world progression
