Yes, it's similar pokemon...but it's also better. This game has the best custom music that I love and unique creatures to collect. Oh and Shiny/ sparkly, good luck. I love this game so much, my husband and I have played, and you can even play together for some added fun!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Cassette Beasts is surely a nice and wonderful experience to go through. You have a basic story and goal, but you're free to do anything you want in any order you desire. So whether you focus on aiming for the main goal, do side quests, just explore, or focus on beasts, you can do whatever you want. No ultra and never-ending tutorial when you get introduced to everything within a short amount of time. And whenever a new effect in battle occurs, the game will let you know what it is about. Short and easy, and good like that. If you use party members for longer, you'll forge little to bigger relationships with them which is nice. Over a hundred Beasts with over a dozen of types gives you plenty of options for team building and finding who you may like by design. With over 15k possible fusions between the Beasts, I wish you luck in finding your favorites as you'll have tons of options to try. There are no random encounters as all Beasts are visible and can be fought or avoided. The type chart is very interesting as it's not your usual X counters Y what you're used by other monster taming games. Here, the types cause buffs, statuses, and type changes if you hit them with something they're weak or strong to. So there's more to put into strategies and how to use your moves to make things more difficult for opponents. The currency system is nicely done as you won't get any sort of money but trade resources in or even destroy items to get resources from them. And it never felt hard to gather resources as you get plenty of them in general. The difficulty is moderate and never felt like I had an impossible fight to go against. There are fights where you need to go ham or with strategy, and deal with opponents trying to get their strategy through to give you trouble. Neither too easy or too hard, a good balance between challenge and comfy battles. The music surprised me when it's a very, very good in general. I didn't expect to even get some singing in, all sounding very nice. Characters have little to minor voice acting which was a fine addition to make the game feel a bit more alive. Anything I found negative about the game? Rarely, your party members are a bit in the way when you want to reach higher places or put something onto switches, but that was the only thing which rarely bothered me a bit. Very recommended to give Cassette Beasts a try if you want something different and with interesting changes compared to other monster taming games, being a very charming and enjoyable game. ♥

Cassette Beasts is a really well made creature battler/collector, I can see why it's so highly rated after everything was said and done with the game. The beast designs were fun and I enjoyed each and every new one so that was a fun addition. My only tiny nitpick was the type chart, but I guess that just came down to it being something that was different from Pokemon so I had to get used to it. The story was just kind of background filler to the main event which was the battling and team building you could do with all the stickers, I will say the final story boss was very underwhelming since you basically got the ability to do an insta-kill move, my final boss fight took like 35 seconds. But besides that this was a very solid game that was well worth the price tag. I'm interested in seeing what other games Bytten Studio have released and I'll watch out for their future releases
おもしろかった。ポケと言えばポケだけど独自要素も多い。ボスのビジュアルがみんな不気味で好き、演出もいい。戦闘は長引きやすい、マップ散策は少し面倒。でも好き
