About
I must say, this is really quite strange. You are the first living being I have ever met in this place. Nevertheless, I will introduce myself. I am the Judge.

He seeks to purify the world. You, then, the controller, the soul that he harbors, must aid him in this laudable task. Alongside my sportive companion you will find it necessary to solve puzzles, rain blows upon certain hostile individuals of our wild zones, and oversee the headways and logistics of a network of swan boats and interurban locomotives.

Open your wings and fly toward the zones ahead without hesitation! All of them are filled with strange and enchanting beings as well as every modern convenience. All of them appear, it must be said, to require the beneficient application of our friend the Batter’s muscular wrist. Do not worry, my dear phantasm—I, the Judge, will be with you (in spirit and body) at all the most crucial moments of your quest.

How dare you talk to me? Why have you decided to be such a pain in my ass? The Queen chose me to protect Zone 1, and I've dedicated my whole life to it.
Listen. Get out of here, and take those ghosts with you, or I am going to kill you. I hope that's clear enough.

This was my first experience with OFF, since I never got a chance to play the original. I have to say the story is kinda unsettling. At first it seems simple. You join the Batter on his sacred mission to "purify" the world from spectres, and other corrupted beings. It's all fun and games until the ending hits you, leaving you wondering if you were doing the right thing all along. There are a lot of interesting characters, even if most of them don't get much screen time which can make things a lil confusing. Honestly it was one of the reasons I kept playing. I wanted to understand what was really going on. But that is what made OFF so unique to me, the fact it doesn't explain every mystery. Instead, it lets you come up with your own interpretation, and that makes it very memorable for me. So, for me, the story is easily the best part of the game, while the gameplay is kinda basic. I don't mean that in the worst way possible, though. Combat is simple, quick and easy to learn compared to modern RPGs. The only slightly tougher fights I can think OFf (haha see what I did there) would definitely be some of the Zodiac bosses which are secret bosses (only found in purified zones) so you will have to explore to find them and in some cases even collect certain items. Those fights felt more engaging and you had to actually think about what abilities, items to use instead of just attacking over and over again. The soundtrack is good and fits the game's atmosphere. I've seen a lot of people say the OST is even better, so I will definitely have to give it a listen. Since I never played the original, there is a lot of things I can't compare, but I can say that this remake was still fun. I also loved the hand drawn sketch like art style mixed with the pixel art that has both monochrome and vibrant colors (such as backgrounds) to it. It's unique and it matched the game's strange world very well. After finishing it, I can say I finally understand why so many people cherish OFF. Not because it's a perfect game, no, but because this type of story stays in your head even after you've completed it. Solid 8/10 from me. The switch is now OFF.

Before Undertale and Deltarune and LISA and the likes and works, there was OFF Genuinely play this game if you can stomach RPGs. It is awesome
Don't get me wrong, I loved beating OFF while my friends watched. But there's a noticeable lack of killing children throughout the game so it's a negative review from me.
