A game about friendship and farming. It reminds us that the real treasure are the carrots we slaughtered along the way.
I've played many games of the vampire clones genre, even made some myself. Many of these games are soulless clones without any unique mechanic, pretending to be something they're not just because they put together a few random assets. Carrot Survivors is not one of these games. What you see is what you get, in a great way. I played the game during playtest and was pleasantly surprised to see the game evolve into something genuinely fun. The boss fights are interesting, the map contains fun areas full of dopamine, and being able to recruit party members and share weapons among them is something that just opens up a lot of potential for exploration. JUST BUY THIS. It's a good game, you won't regret it.
Enjoyed my first run on the deck, runs great & have not encountered issues. Has some fun concepts compared to the vampire flavour, like fixed vacuums / snack machines to regenerate hp on cooldowns. Amusing mob design & progression, will be a good one to complete on train rides!
I don't usually play this kind of games but it's pretty entertaining and fun. Also you can be a chicken from the start so that's a great point.
A fun game made with care and love. It runs well, it's very addictive, with cute characters and even an AE86 that attacks by drifting.
A perfect game for those who don't like vegetables and prefer to play with food rather than being eaten alive. It's amazing how such a simple game can get so far with its lore. Each new enemy wave has its place in the story chain, the brawler becomes story mode and the mode you play the funnied it gets (sowwy got something in me ewye gotta go pway cawots again)
Whaaaat...a new survivors game that isn't devoid of creativity?!? Simple, yet fun to play, couch coop, and a demo released with the full game because this dev has faith in his creation. Love how it has an interactable map ala Biters and Bullets (well, almost sort of lol) and manual aim so I'm not bored out of mind. The only thing this needs is a little more movement speed for the characters and cursor...anything else is icing on the cake. Edit - There's a bug where your mouse will disappear, usually at the end of a long run. But also if you're on controller and your actual mouse is moved I think. Hoping it gets fixed soon because you can't even exit the game when it happens. Your safest bet is to unplug the mouse when playing if you're not using it I think.
Works great on linux.
Having a lot of fun with this game. It's full of whimsy and chaos. Playing alone with the AI is great, but planning on trying co-op soon (and trying online co-op with steam remote play). Each time I think I have found a favorite weapon, end up getting a new character with something even wilder going on, only have tried a few so far and looking forward to getting deeper in the roster. I love having the squad of 4 instead of being out there alone. I'll start focusing my character around a couple styles of weapons + buffs, and then build the others in other direction, gives you more to play with than just building one character each run. The map works well - I'm far too overwhelmed to think about which direction I'm going, yet still stumble across different buildings + intractable objects I need and run into new characters. Still waiting for a loving re-union with the car I spotted on first run, I know its waiting for me. Lots of fun and was super easy to get started playing. I had never tried games of this genre before, it's good stuff.
