If you quit this game for more then a year and come back to it, you will find yourself playing a completely different game. And it happened again and again. This game has no identity, the devs have no idea what they want this game to be and the CEO is a prime discord moderator.
What can I say...the game has potential to become a good game BUT For my personal experience that I've had so far: - Unstable FPS, specially when you play in group - Many microtrans. for QoL ( FOR EXAMPLE, INVENTORY SLOTS). If it was for the skins I would not say anything, but for the game itself..MEH - The DLC is optional, but making it a content to pay and then became possibly free (in the future) is an insult for me that I've paid for it, but WHATEVER. - (And for the meme, the cherry on the top) I've became homeless for that BAD and DISGUSTING DROP RATE of the Goburin's Head So at the end, the game can give you some good time on it and a pleasant feel of progression while you're levelling, BUT when you're gonna come on the end game and start to looking something on particular, it feels you're stuck with no progression. Leading to that heavy feeling of beign stagnant and ultimately removing the fun you had before ( from the prospective of a not full knowledgeable player).
It's actually a decent game, but it is riddled with mtx and I can't ever give a thumbs up to a company that treats its players this way. It literally has tabs for you to purchase in the inventory so you have to stare at them while you play. Way too much "paid" clutter everywhere. I've also encountered quite a few bugs. I only bought this because it was heavily discounted.
No local co-op as advertised. I thought I could play local co-op with my wife at least, after hours of trying and believing I could because you have it posted on steam... I researched to find out it was removed? There's even a prompt in the game to tell me the second player how to enter... but it doesn't work. IDK....
Hero siege 5 at this point since every few years they overhaul everything. if you do enjoy it, binge it while you can, eventually it may change genres and instead of releasing a new title it will just delete the game you loved playing
This game is racist, and the developers are desperately money-hungry—they're even charging real money just to expand your inventory. You have much better gaming options out there; don't waste your time here.
Back in 2014 this was a very enjoyable game but every update just made it worse and worse. It doesn't even really resemble that original game. Literally just microtransactions for anything and everything including extra stash and inventory space.
Headline: A corrupt, microtransaction-ridden scam run by power-tripping dictators. Avoid this game and this amateur developer at all costs. The game itself has turned into a pathetic, soul-sucking Korean-style grindfest. To make matters worse, stuffing the game to the brim with predatory microtransactions. They expect you to pay real money for every single basic quality-of-life feature, from inventory space and stash tabs to market slots. It's the ultimate hypocrisy. I was arbitrarily banned out of nowhere. No warning, no explanation, and they didn’t even bother to send a single automated email explaining why. Their customer support and moderation are a complete joke—they act like corrupt, power-tripping dictators who hide behind overseas offices to avoid any real accountability or consumer protection laws. They treat their player base like absolute garbage. Don't respect companies that don't respect your time or your wallet. This is a dead game managed by a garbage company. Save your time and your money, go play Diablo 4, Grim Dawn or Path of Exille 2 instead.
microtransaction hell
Game has so much potential, but it is just so poorly optimized in the end game. Playing on region appropriate servers(NA player NA servers) and 350+ pings, specially when playing Coop. Tweaked settings a ton nothing really improved it. A lot of the skills are just an eye or even ear swore such as white mage mana orb constantly spams you with sump pump SFX (i really don't understand why that was the winning choice). Good luck seeing anything inless you turn the effects down to nearly 5%. I tried out 7 different classes up to roughly 100 with like 85 incarnation points( similar to paragon points in diablo) I really wish I could recommend this game, but they need to stop making cosmetics and work on performance issues and some bugs such as scrolling the in game outline map can lag you out or a stutter bug you have to frequently scale resolution from full screen back to windowed full screen if you use a second monitor a lot and enjoy looking things up. Some of the collision in zones to getting snagged on small rocks all over the place just make any classes without teleport(pretty meta ability man i wonder why) makes navigating a real chore, and some of the color choices such as the fish temple and 2 maps leading up to it are dark and floor match walls and makes dungeons just tedious to work through at times. The core game potential is here, but if you have not dialed this in better in 10 YEARS I'm sorry but I highly doubt these type of things will ever get addressed.
