I've never been so torn about a game, it's almost perfect, but unfortunately only almost. It has a huge potential and one day could be a perfectly polished gem. Positive: Cardbob is a fun and addictive game that combines action, roguelite, and from the start very entertaining trading elements in an unique world with amazing carboard style. The game has a charming and unique art style, a variety of enemies and items to encounter, and a dynamic negotiation system that lets you haggle for the best price. The game also has a lot of replay value, as each run is different and challenging. The gameplay is really funny and addictive as you can feel the power of your sword in every single hit. Also, the physics in the game are really entertaining. The game has a lot of interactions, secrets and funny moments during your journey in the dungeon. Cardbob is a game that will keep you hooked for hours. Negative: Cardbob is a game that has a lot of potential, but also some flaws. The game suffers from a lack of content, as there are only few dungeons, items, and traders to explore. The game also has some balance issues, as some items and enemies are too powerful or too weak. After some updates that could fix these problems, Cardbob has the potential to be a perfect masterpiece. In conclusion, if you’re looking for an entertaining and engaging game with unique and funny gameplay mechanics, then Cardbob is definitely worth checking out. While it may have some flaws, it’s still an enjoyable experience that people will not regret spending their money on.
Cool little game. It's actually catchier than I expected. Pretty good controller feel, good music, creative enemies... It's addictive enough that you want to try it again right away. Exactly what an action roguelite should be. I enjoyed trying different combinations of upgrades to beat the dungeons. I especially like the street and home environments that serve as your base between dungeons. It's like a place you want to walk in the rain or drink coffee. Recommended for fans of cute, little, good indie games 👌
I really dig on Cardbob! The loop is just ::chefs kiss:: I love it i love the violence and murder than being a meanie stiltskin when negotiating! Honestly though, in a VERY ccrowded genre... I do feel this one stands out. The visuals, the music, the gameplay loops its just a whole vibe
Really polished and unique little roguelite! Even the developers are lovely people! They're actively taking in feedback and fixing any found issues. Truly an enjoyable adventure!
Fun to play. After playing Hades or Deadcells it feel little bit easy but like the game very much. btw... I LOVE the scarf idea, even though it's hard to follow during battle :D
Great game! Very fun to play, lovely graphics and music. The negotiating mechanic is really fun, boss are well designed. I love it! Super recommended!
I have been waiting for this game to release for a while and after playing for 2 hours I can tell that the waiting was worth it. I love smashing enemies and boxes to pieces. The updgrade system is great, there are many versitile updgrades you choose from every time you level up. The game switches from action to chill selling of items you have found. Music also makes great atmosphere. Would buy again.
Super game to relax after pointless games like mmorpg or amazing games from ubisoft where after a few hours of pointless doing side missions you really need to switch off and this game is just the right one for that.
Really nice art style, various enemies, and catchy gameplay. I'm looking forward to completing the rest of the game as soon as possible!
Cute little action roguelite, more on the casual side of things, not very challenging, but has it charm. Haggling/Negotiation mechanic is quite satisfying. It's fun to find some valuable item in dungeon, send it back home and sell it after the run to a vendor for currency which buys you permanent upgrades. Main cons are not very balanced gameplay systems, melee is so much powerful than ranged, not a big variety of rooms (which are quite small btw.) and mods/upgrades could use more variety too.
