best cod ever but unsafe to play now

I love this game, the best or one of the best cods of all time. This was cod at its absolute PEAK. So many good memories playing this game with friends,siblings and watching youtube vids from Vanoss, Ali A, Uberhaxornova,etc. This game is what got me into online gaming, playing zombies or multiplayer with friends on Xbox Live late at night was one hell of a time. I dont think the cod games that came after were bad or anything some were def good and others not so much especially recently, but man nothing will ever reach the heights that BO2 reached. Like i said i dont the think all the cods that came after are bad, some are great and ive honestly have had a lot of fun with them aswell but man cod especially now a days is just trash. Like i feel like the majority of the old playerbase is just gone completely, the playerbase that cod has now a days is just completely different. Like almost no one i know who played cod back in the day still plays cod now, theyve just all abandoned it. Cod is not as big as it used to be but its still big yk, like ive said new cod just has a different player base and audience now,everyone from back then has pretty much moved on. But this cod is still goated tho, if you want play on good servers you need to download plutonium tho. These steam servers are empty and all thats left are hackers so get plutonium if yall want to actually play and have a good time. 10/10 I love this game, dont buy it at full price tho wait for a sale. Its crazy that this game is still sold at full price even tho its old as hell now. Activision is greedy as hell and they know the value this game has.

This is hands down the best Call of Duty game, in my honest opinion. However, this game is outright unsafe to play on PC due to the neglect of Activision. Do not buy unless Activision fixes the safety issues.

Buying Black Ops 2 turned out to be one of the most frustrating gaming experiences I’ve ever had. I paid for a game I couldn’t even play for over half a year, and the entire wait was filled with useless updates, broken servers, and support responses that felt like they were written by bots who didn’t actually read the problem. It’s ridiculous that a game this old can still be this dysfunctional. By the time it finally decided to work, the damage was already done. The excitement was gone, the community was practically dead, and the gameplay felt stale — not because the game itself is terrible, but because the endless waiting sucked every bit of enjoyment out of it. No one should have to wait months just to access something they already paid for. Honestly, the whole experience felt like a scam. If a game can’t be played for half a year after purchase, it shouldn’t be sold. Period. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone unless they enjoy wasting time, money, and patience on a product that can’t even deliver the bare minimum: being playable.

DON'T PLAY WITHOUT PLUTONIUM. This game is completely unsafe as it currently stands as the original servers are shutdown. Some hackers found a Remote Code Execution Exploit in the game, as well as a way to grab the server keys so they can connect their own servers to the matchmaking. Connecting to these is a huge vulnerability, leaving your computer completely wide open to being hijacked. Please be careful when playing this or any other old Call of Duty title as the devs will not patch this.
