Игра крутая, сетинг старого, заполненного болью и страданиями людей городишки передали отлично. Но из-за графики играется не так страшно. НО, сюжет подан правильно и копаться в них как настоящий детектив я люблю))

This is a recommendation with a caveat The game is good BUT there are some aspects of it which are really bad, those being the voice acting and the character model animation. The voice acting ranges from acceptable at best to truly dreadful at worst. Every character's model moves their arms a lot while they're talking, making it look like you are watching a Seinfeld character talk no matter what the tone of the conversation is. The lips of the characters are also rarely in sync with what they are saying, sometimes not even moving at all when they say something brief. These three issues are so bad that I almost refunded the game within the first few minutes, but I stuck it out and I am glad I did. This game has an incredible story. I have been a long time fan of the Call of Cthulhu RPG which this game is rooted in and I love the overall plot of the story and how many different directions the narrative can go. There are quite a few different ways to approach the story which have pretty major impacts. All of this is coming from someone who actually watched a full playthrough of the game on Youtube before playing it, that is to say, the story is so good that even being fully spoiled it is still a blast to experience. Additionally, all of the environment and music pieces in the game are masterfully designed. Even being as old as it is everything looks and sounds very good and atmospheric. This even includes the characters and esepcially the monsters who look great, although this quality in the characters often gets overshadowed by the issues mentioned above. Overall I believe it is worth playing, however I would not rank it that highly among story games simply because the voice acting and character animation is so jarring. That being said, if you just want a good story with some jank, its well worth the low price.

Decent Lovecraftian story. Does go into proper lovecraft themes and isn't just tentacles spooky which I like. Performance is okay but you can notice brief little boxes of white for like a milisecond as environments load in when rounding some corners, doorways, etc. Overall the environments do look nice though and some of the cutscenes have impressive facial animations. Gameplay surprisingly changes a lot, but overall isn't anything special you don't have to do any serious detective work or puzzle solving, solutions are handed to you. Light RPG mechanics but not enough to offer true replayability to me. Decent characters. A little short for price, about 8 hours.

The game is based on Lovecraft's stories, and I found it worthy of the author's fame. The story is very engaging with 3 multiple endings based on your choices throughout the game, it has very few jump scares and you will not play only as Pierce, but also as other characters The only flaw: although I would have preferred a better look at Cthulhu, he appears for a fraction of a second, not enough to admire the developers' work. But I highly recommend it.

I got a brand new gaming laptop and always loved playing this game, yet on the new laptop, after downloading it, sounds play but no music plays, and this game will not stay open 5 minutes without crashing. I loved this game and wanted to play it. It's a shame but sounds like I'm not the only one it's crashing for. Can't recommend a game that crashes and doesn't play. Some other Lovecraft fan who cares about having a working product should come up with this game if these developers don't care to address this. I wish I knew there was supposedly a free version of this game available elsewhere, but I bought it back before this extreme discount I see it's currently priced at. Not sure if the crashing is a steam thing or some faulty update. At least I still have this game functioning on my console. I do not recommend buying this game in its current dilapidated state.
