Something different around the Tower Defense genre with greater emphasis around strategy/puzzle. You really have to think your way around this one and make sure you carefully read the tutorial - I flashed through and struggled for a while. (a 22 minute Youtube video was a big help). Don't say it often, but enjoying the sound options.
Tower Offense? Anti-Tower Defense? Reverse Tower Defense? What ever this genre is called, SIGN ME UP. This game is very fun and is worth checking out to any tower defense lover. If you are okay with the fact that the art style is simply little shapes making their way through a circuit board type world, you will love this game.
Bytes is a refreshing twist on the traditional tower defense genre. Here, the player constructs a path while a cunning AI places the defensive towers. This ingenious role reversal offers a new strategic challenge that is both engaging and Compelling. The gameplay is wonderfully intuitive and exceptionally layered, requiring careful planning and adaptability around the AI's moves. The visuals and immersive sound design also add to the game's allure, creating a richly detailed and captivating experience. In summary, it’s a standout game that combines innovation with strategic depth. It is an excellent choice for any gamer seeking a fresh and challenging experience.
This is a really fun and well made game!! There's that element of strategizing and planning that makes it a fun challenge to get through each level. The learning process is straightforward and well laid out too. I like that there's a story/background built into the world, it adds an extra layer of motivation and satisfaction of progressing in the game. I also love the visuals and design <3 I definitely recommend, it's worth getting it!
I thought this game was pretty fun. Never really played Tower defense games much, but I've definitely enjoyed this so far.
BYTES is an interesting take on the fairly unknown reverse tower defense genre. The level variety and structure of the game provide a solid amount of replay-ability. The story and dialogue elements of the game also greatly contribute to its overall complexity. The wave customization features are a phenomenal way to personalize units and add a healthy amount of variety to the gameplay. It also features a fantastically thematic soundtrack that enhances the overall experience of the game. I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone looking for a fresh tower defense experience.
Still has bugs in it. Cant get past a dialog part without the game freezing up. It's one of the right side node ones. Can't use the portal type skill either or at least, not equipped it.
