Bliss

This game really isn’t good. The starts out immediately on a bad note, game is only windowed, with no fullscreen, no controller input (for a platformer?) and you cannot rebind controls. For a pc game, those are unacceptable. You play this stick guy with a mime face and a sperm-shaped head. You run around and use this time freeze ability to jump on black heads, and use a boomerang as well. That is it, for the entire game. It is super repetitive, and 2/3 of the puzzles are just you trying to jump on all the black heads before your time stop ability timer (which is changed with each puzzle to the preset time the developer decided, which is another annoyance) runs out. I got so sick of doing the same thing every time. They say this is story heavy, but doesn’t involve words or text, but that’s b-u-l-l-s-h-i-t. There is pretend story about loss in the background, but its really just an excuse for no real story, its just about you running around and jumping on things with the same song, that only changes every hour, playing. Bad boss fights with multiple parts where you have to start the entire thing over if you get hit once. Game crashes, which is annoying especially after a lost progress of beating a stupid boss. There are bugs, like me getting hit by fire attack from a boss that I ran past that hadn't happened yet, but still counted as being there even though it wasn't on the screen yet. Then every time you die, instead of restarting at checkpoint right away, you have to slowly float back, wasting time while you just sit there. The jumping also seems off, as you will jump expecting to land on something, but float down and land over the object. There is difficulty, but thats just because it is artificially put in by you having this set amount of time, only being able to pause once, and you have to hit a bunch of things, while jumping, while also doing other things. For a game called “bliss”, the frustratingly terrible controls, lack of normal pc options, and repetition of gameplay, this game causes anything but that while playing. 4/10.

Well this is another pulpy indy trashfest with the only appeal is that it's "art man, chill out and get into the groove, loosen up and smoke another bowl". So in order to enjoy this game you basically need to be on a lot of drugs, and frankly if you're on a lot of drugs you'd probably just enjoy your washing machine, or your PC if it was turned off, or just watching the grass grow, or something. Which kind of invalidates anything this game has to offer humanity or society. The mechanics are boring and unoriginal platformer 2D rubbish. Save any money you might spend on this for the drugs you'd need to buy to enjoy it. Bonus: No support for high resolution monitors, no option to go to full screen... stay away. Developers put no effort into the quality.

Why do so many reviews call this relaxing? Did they play it? It's a frustrating, annoying puzzle-platformer that requires absolute pixel-perfect timing, despite how slow everything moves, and playing is a waste of time. The music is repetitive and only mildly relaxing, the graphics look like a bad Newgrounds entry, while the puzzles are all incredibly easy to figure out but enhanced by tons of fake difficulty to waste your time until the next one. Total waste of money, don't get it unless it comes in a bundle.

PROS: - Each level introduces distinctively unique puzzles and new game mechanic. - Music is decent. - Artful game. CONS: - Inconsistent difficulty throughout the game (some puzzles are poorly designed.) - User-unfriendly and minimalistic GUI and game menu for the sake of being overly artsy. - Slow and sluggish movement and so much gliding on a platform. - Unresponsive jump at the edges of a platform. - minor glitches (get stuck between moving ghosts, mislocated balloon tied with an ice spike, boomerang can launch you to somewhere off-screen; all very rare issues but when any of this happens, exiting the game is the only way of fixing it.) . RECOMMENDED .

Intérêt global : ★★★★☆ Bliss est une plateforme puzzle indies à l’univers charmant et solide au niveau des graphismes et de l’ambiance sonore. Un bon Indies qui sort du lot, je vous le recommande ! Graphismes : ★★★★☆ Des bons graphismes pour un Indies ! C’est très soigné malgré la faible résolution (on joue en fenêtré et il n’est pas possible de configurer autrement). Un bel univers ! Musique / Son : ★★★★☆ Je suis assez sévère sur les bandes sons, mais ici ce jeu est tout à fait bon niveau bande son, c’est travaillé et accompagne tout à fait le thème. Jouabilité : ★★★☆☆ Jouabilité assez simple : gauche, droite saut et arrêt du temps. La difficulté est quand même assez haute et vous devrez recommencer à plusieurs reprises certains puzzles. Le jeu fini vite en puzzle plus qu’en jeu de plateformes complexe Durée de vie : ★★★☆☆ Je ne suis pas arrivé au bout, mais une durée de vie raisonnable semble être présente. Après ça reste des plates-formes solos : vous n’y reviendrez plus souvent une fois terminé !

I wanted to like this game, but it's really just frustrating on a mechanics level, It takes way too long to respawn (one time my ghost went into an orbit around the checkpoint?? what the hell!?!?!) and You're jumps are way too floaty for the game. I didn't play it alot becasue It's just annoying (and if there's one thing aI didn't feel it was "Bliss") I like the art style. I've played alot of Indie platformers and sorry to say this isn't worth it.

This game is lame. That is all.

К покупке рекомендуется! Только что закончил прохождение данной игры и остался ей очень доволен. Приятный глазу визуальный стиль, разнообразные и в меру сложные головоломки (в некоторых моментах придется пару десятков раз начинать с контрольной точки), основанные на умении главного героя останавливать время. Отдельного внимания заслуживают боссы - сражение с каждым из них тоже своего рода задачка. После победы над каждым боссом в меню открывается дополнительное соревнование - нужно победить этого же босса на другой карте. В общем, на 7-8 часов тут развлечений хватит. А большего и не нужно. Единственный недостаток, о котором стоит упомянуть - нет полноэкранного режима. Игра запускается в фиксированном окне и не растягивается до ставших уже стандартом сейчас 1920х1080. Но это не такая уж большая проблема. За отсутствие русского перевода можно не переживать. В игре нет текста вообще - весь сюжет (скорее не сюжет, а какие-то мысли авторов) подается в виде картинок между миссиями.

Bom, eu sinceramente gostei bastante do jogo. A trilha sonora é acochegante e a jogabilidade ótima. O jogo não é difícil, porém não é fácil. É divertido. MAS, infelizmente me desanima jogar um jogo com um bug que me faz ter que reiniciá-lo. Há certos momentos que seu personagem simplesmente não volta à "forma jogável" e só fica na forma "morta". É bem desanimador, pra ser sincera. Espero que corrijam isso, eu sinceramente gostaria de poder jogá-lo sem ter que fechar o jogo para que se volte ao normal. (Eu também não sei se isso é comum no jogo ou é um bug mesmo, ou eu sou um lixo.) MAS, fora isso eu até recomendaria o jogo, as poucas horas que joguei me proporcionaram um estado de espiríto muito bom, embora esse "bug" ridículo seja extramente broxante.
