Worth the wait <3
A chill sort-of point-n-click adventure in 1st person. Sick, amazing visuals carry a lot of the allure, but there's a surprising amount of humour too. I wish you could jump!! Just to at least make the walking around more fun and to improve the gameplay from the first game, which this is very very very similar to. A bit disappointingly too similar, but it's still a recommend because I'm just happy to return to the good vibes of this game.

So, I've beaten the game. I liked it, although in truth not as much as the first game. While some areas were very well done and aesthetically pleasing, others felt just 'fine'. Especially I think if the final section of the game had been made a lot more interesting and engaging that I would have left with a more positive impression of the game. I remember the first game's ending and the weird unique stuff that did, but I didn't get something like that here (from the ending parts). To skim through other aspects: I thought the mechanics were okay, serviceable; the story was there, in the background, but I didn't have a finger on the pulse there; the game was a bit buggy sometimes, for example the radar wouldn't update as reliably as I would want and I also didn't like how some few items or literal bugs would still reappear after I was done with them, just uncomfortable mildly, odd. Still, I did really love those good areas though, and the music in this game was very good, I would listen to it separately. Overall, a mild recommendation.
Incredible, funny and clever. Loved it!

i love this game. rainbow metal blockchain. Noscere, velle, audere, tacere.
If you played the original game and were looking for more, then this game delivers. It genuinely delivers on being broken reality with a larger scope. Though, despite my recommendation, I feel that this is also a case where the game suffered a little bit as a consequence in the sense that the first game feels like it has a more focused direction it wanted to take. A few portions of the game feel a tiny bit janky in the sense that you can get stuck on geometry in a way that requires you to hit the log out button, which can cause you to lose progress, which is kind of a downer. Also, given the larger scope areas, traversal quickly becomes tedious in later portions of the game. It would've helped if you were given some sort of intermediary to the hoverboard's speed, because there's often portions of the game where you're walking around for quite a bit without actually discovering anything meaningful, it's just pure point A to point B navigation. This wouldn't be a problem if there were a lot of nice things to look at while that traversal happens, but sometimes its just really long corridors. One other thing I would say, is that there are some portions of the game that don't really signify or provide tells that backtracking is intended in a particularly clear way that's easy to implicitly pick up on. I'm not saying that there needs to be someone outright telling you that you need to go back somewhere, of course, but I feel there should be more indications towards whether something next in progression is in the particular environment you're in. For example, when you make it to Universum after going through the previous area, it primes you to think that you'd in one way or another eventually get into Veblen Tower, however the actual intention is for you to explore and then go all the way back to the starting area, which I think could be massaged a little to be more communicative in some way. The only reason it came to me to do that was because I happened to stumble upon the little sewer area when exploring the first area. If someone happened to miss that, then I could understand them being completely lost when they get here. It also felt like the narrative was lacking a little compared to the first game up until the museum and jungle areas. In the first game, it felt like there there was more of a tinge of mystery to the narrative, which doesn't seem to really be the case in this one beyond the occasional poke and prod, up until the museum and the final level which is a little unfortunate. That being said, the museum and final level are very solidly designed. The museum in particular was very fun to explore. Despite all the criticism, I do think the actual exploration in this game is better than the first game, especially when trying to find the artifacts. Items are also way more multifaceted than in the first game, particularly the camera and the katana. The OST is quite nice as well. I really dig the 2-step/garage track in the mines. If you did play the first game, I would genuinely recommend checking this one out as well. Can't wait for Broken Reality 3D ;)
very buggy rn cant recommend
This game scratches every single itch I had for retro references, weird meme culture, a bit of mexican culture, and some cool music along the way, if you are thinking of buying it, please do, hours of fun. Love the team behind this, looking forward to what they make next.
