probably the least satisfying shooter i've played in years

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i have no idea what is happening
i always come back to this game just to test my combat skills on hard difficulties. there's something about this game is BREATHTAKING on a level i don't even think we've achieved in most games in 2026. It's short but honestly the combat is really fun and you can replay this one over and over on different difficulties.
I really do not care for the timed event and special combo move nonsense. it really gets in its own way trying to overcomplicate the experience.
I randomly stumbled across this game pretty late, and honestly, I’m so glad I did. I had an incredible amount of fun with it — for me, this is a seriously great title. It’s one of those games that just pulls you in and keeps you hooked. What makes it even more impressive is that this was developed by a single person. I really appreciate the amount of work and passion that must have gone into this. I’d absolutely love to see a sequel someday, even though I know the developer is currently working on another project. Either way, I’ll definitely be picking that up too — I’m a big fan of their work now.
This game got quite some buzz when it first released because it was apparently made by only one person. That sure seems like an impressive feat considering the high quality graphics and fluid gameplay. But ultimately, I don’t care much about how many people were involved in making a game but about how good it really is. And Bright Memory certainly gets some things right besides the good graphics. The gameplay is fluid and devoid of the usual low-budget jank many 3D games still have to fight against. The mix of fast movement, shooting and melee works well. Enemy attacks can be blocked, dodged and reflected. The sword offers various combos and special moves. And the guns have alternative fire modes. The problem is: The game only runs for 2 hours and in these 2 hours it tries to be so much but nothing really sticks out. The level design is super linear and combat mostly takes place in small arenas where several waves of enemies spawn. The guns are as bland as it gets. There is a pistol, a machine gun, a shotgun and a sniper rifle. The game takes place in a near future sci-fi setting. Enemies consist of ultra-generic military goons but then there are also ancient Chinese warrior ghosts and even mythological creatures. And tedious boss fights that are mostly just boring bullet sponges with a few same-y attack patterns. The story is nonsensical, the few cutscenes are low quality. The game tries to lighten up the linear level design with smaller platform- and climbing sections. There is also a grappling hook with a bad animation. There are on-rail sequences with quick-time events. There is a bad vehicle section. And there is a bland stealth level where you have to take down enemies without sounding the alarm. There even is a level up system for skills. Reminder: All of this takes place in like 2 hours of gameplay. None of the features has room to evolve because it is over so quickly. Bright Memory: Infinite isn’t bad, but nothing it offers is really good either - apart from the graphics which are quite nice indeed. Even when they lack artistic direction. The overall tone of the game is just so inconsistent, random and messy. It all feels like it was thrown together with Unreal Engine assets - which is probably the truth, considering the “one person made this” narrative. Bright Memory: Infinite is a game you breeze through in an afternoon and forget a day later.
