https://www.twitch.tv/videos/733644230 I have to give it a recomendation because I neither liked nor disliked the game. Bragger's Run is a good concept. You play as one of three roles, your loot is random, and you have the option to save up to two items and lose everything else upon death. I get hints of inspiration from Gauntlet, and I can see the potential. The only gripes I really have with this is that each level is a small arena, and as I get into the stage it ends abruptly and I move on to the next. I feel as though I don't really get to do much each mini arena I play in, even as I get a little further or with boss fights. Some hits can be cheap (such as an enemy randomly appearing near you causing a barrel to explode), and the inclusion of bullet hell mechanics to them is a nice touch. I will complain about the lack of a roll/dodge mechanic. Yes the duelist has a dodge attack but it isn't the same. It would just complement the fast paced combat a little more to have that option, especially given has sparse health is to acquire here. Again, this was a VERY middle ground title for me. I walked out completely neutral. I didn't hate it, but neither did I truly like it. After about an hour of gameplay, I've had my fill and will move on. If roghue likes are your thing, I'd definitely keep an eye on this one (which I am going to do myself) as there is a damn fine game here that needs a little more time and refinement, which I hope the devs will put into it. I wish them all the best with this project, and hope the full release gets the love it deserves when that day comes.
The game itself is rather fun and entertaining. You're offered the ability to play the game with 3 characters ( each with their strengths and weaknesses ). You have your ranged dps, melee dps, and caster . Out of all 3 I found the ranged dps to be the most enjoyable. Essentially you're put into a level with a certain amount of mobs. After you defeat the monsters you're teleported away towards the next. After a few zones you're presented with a boss which varies in both skill and abilities used. The longer you progress the more difficult the game gets. The game is fun due to its challenging nature and its gear customization. At the time of my writing this review I've played about 4 solid hours having enjoyed them all. I would recommend this game.
Bragger's Run was a bit rough in the edge but I did enjoy the fast paced gameplay. - The first apparent miss was gunslinger aim did not shoot straight at enemy, even you perfectly mouse your cursor center on enemy, so you had to offset left right a bit for projectile to hit. This kind of hiccup should not be present in the full release anymore. - The damage tuning was a bit concerning, one boss attack could one hit or two hit you. I got one hit that took 80% of my HP in just first boss. - You moved faster when move diagonally, not sure if dev intended that, but I felt I win the system on that so a feature XD. - I liked item exchange system
Fun and challenging. The classes each have a different way to approach the game, and the items make each run unique.
Cool rogue like dungeon run with different classes, item collection, and a skill tree system. It's fun and intense, especially when trying to get a spot on the leaderboard.
It is a fun game, I recommend it if you like the rogue like genre.
The fact that you get randomly generated skill options upon leveling along with the random loot from the levels makes each play through unique and keeps it fresh. Took a bit to get used to the control but had lots of fun playing.
Addicting gameplay that keeps you coming back for more! This is a game that definitely rewards skill over luck, so settle in, choose your character wisely and master the nuances. It will be rewarded.
A very fun game, there are still some imperfections that need to be polished, but over all it is a very tight and cohesive experience.
Very fun game that starts out fairly simple and gets very challenging quickly (I could also just be bad). Love the feel of the duelist slashing through the hordes. Developer is very responsive to comments and frequently implementing improvements and new features.
